So the first qtr and a half where most of Norwoods players were in our half everytime the ball came up there isn't a flood? Must have been watching a different game than you bayman.
I'll agree that their tackling was ferocious but it has to be otherwise the flood doesn't work. No point crowding the opposition forward line if you're not laying a finger on them.

Give it up mate, in all honesty, this is shocking posting.

So when Chambers was often your only forward inside 50, Norwood to blame? :?

Read all my posts mate. I'm saying we can't handle the flood. I've never said we don't do it aswell. I also wrote in a previous post that I'm not saying Norwood shouldn't play this way and that you were good to watch once it opened up.
Would you prefer me to run away and hide like most others on here after a loss?

Not as well as last week. He over commited a few times and gave away a couple of push in the back frees. Norwood didn't allow him or any other forwards space so he only played as well as he was allowed to play. He'll learn from it.

After the highs of last week that was truly a bizarre experience. Well done Legs, you choked Sturt of any space and took us to the cleaners. But the way this season is going I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Bays win in a canter next week.

Very impressed with Norwood's tackling tonight. Not something you usually associate Norwood with doing.

Phillips was sensational as was Rowe and Gallagher. Walker got better as the night went on.

Hard to find Sturts best player but maybe Giles or Hinge.

Herring very disappointing at the moment.

Question for Sturt fans (mainly) - Is Ben Nelson doing enough to get a game? If he wasn't getting close to 200 games would he be selected?

Spoke to a couple of sturt supporting mates and they are of agreement.

Welcome back Jekyll and Hyde Sturt...not! What a woeful performance. Last week they played some of the best footy seen in the comp so far this year. Broke a few records too. This week...

The first quarter tonight was probably the most boring quarter of SANFL I have ever witnessed.

The third quarter I saw the most disgraceful umpiring I have ever witnessed. Seriously. Whoever that bloke down the southern end was in the 3rd quarter needs to go back to U12s for a while.

Norwood to quick, too good. Even given their 6-7 goals they got directly from dubious free kicks/25s...and 1 goal from an obvious free that was missed.

If this pattern continues then we will beat the bye this week and lose the following week. There are several Sturt players and one umpire who really need to take a good hard look.

Congrats to Norwood for giving us a lesson in how to tackle, how to flood, and how to run and kick.

What a night. Just hope we can continue this new found form until the end of the season.

I'm glad theres no whinging on here about the umps seemingly in favour of Norwood. The team on top tends to get more of the 50/50 calls and I should know. We've been on the wrong end too many times lately.
*EDIT* Ah then purch had to open his trap.. Please, Sturt got half their goals from frees.... all 2 of em

Our defence was brilliant. Just 2 points scored by Sturt to the Parade end (1 of them from a generous 25m or was it a 50?). When was the last time Sturt 'achieved' that?

Many wasted opportunities especially in the 2nd qtr. Could have won by 100 tonight.

Pleasant surprise to start my weekend. :D

I'm actually not surprised at this result. After seeing norwood play very well in patches against port last week, it was clear their young group has a lot of talent.

Clearly they put it all together last night.

Sturts performance is baffling though after their demolition of the dogs last week. It sounds like they played their grand final last week!!

I was commenting to mate a couple days ago about how good Sturt looked on TV against the Bays and the Dogs. Never would have predicted this. Makes the SANFL season even more interesting.

You seem to be letting it bother you considering you are a Bays supporter. A little worried, are we ?.

Great performance lads, keep it coming. Excellent football. I have been waiting a long time to see that.
