Tips for the week.

Blackwood vs Mt Barker - only seen Blackwood and they were awesome, so still my tip premiers. Woods by 2 goals

Bridgewater vs Mt Lofty - you can get all excited about your win last week but we played well below our standard, and losing your captain doesn't help either. I actually believe playing at home will disadvantage Bridgewater because one of the ways they beat us was using the space of the velodrome to run into. Bridgewater to stay with them for a quarter or so but Lofty by 6 goals.

Hahndorf vs Onkas - haven't seen either team yet but unless Hahndorf get those big names back can't see them getting over Onkas.

Ironbank vs uraidla - percentage booster here. Uraidla by 15 goals

Lobethal vs Birdwood - Really looking forward to this match. Are the closest team to a rival for us and will be a good hit-out. We'll hit back after the disappointment of last week and get up by 5 goals.

Spearhead - good changes for Lofty or more injuries?
Mt Barker - CRACKING game but the Roos just seem to keep getting better. 17 points.
Lofty by 8 goals - same reason as Informer, could be a good game for best part of a day but Lofty just too classy. Margin might also depend on those changes you mentioned, Spearhead.
Onkas - Again, same as Informer, unless Maggies have some of those names back, Onkas by 8 goals. if some big names ARE back, Onkas by 2 in their first real test.
Uraidla by 7 goals - the small confines will keep the Thunderers in it for a half.
Birdwood - other than the Bridgey win, Lobey don't sound like they've really come on in leaps and bounds.

I reckon Hahndy will win. Onkas have only beaten cellar dwellers (Ironbank, Bridgy and Loby) so far, while the Pies have had a couple of tough hitouts against Uri and Mt Barker.

Hahndorf to win in a close one IMO.

Congrats to Silky. Good Luck! Hope he has a longer career than the last ex Hills Footy Junior that was upgraded from the Crows Rookie list.....Kersbrook's Sudjai Cook

Which teams are in the hot seat for Hills Country next year? Vaughan's team?

Please refrain from the petty name-calling. You can make your points without it.

Update on relegation situation according to my calc's, based on points system in budget a couple of weeks back:

Mt Barker 42
Blackwood 31
Hahndorf 28
Bridgewater 27
Onkas 27
Uraidla 24
Birdwood 17
Mt Lofty 17
Lobethal 14
Ironbank 11

Looks like the round 9 and 18 clashes between Ironbank and Lobethal could prove decisive!

They are now TWE, 10-8 to 20-17. Goolwa recruits Nick Ferguson and Brad Yeomans 1st and 2nd best for us

Confucius- Is that including IB win in the B grade yesterday?

No excuses mate, were beaten on the day, Devs kicked 10-20 which makes it very difficult to win a game of footy!

I'll post where i see fit V-man, done some research i see. For your info i played in the Hills league some years back and enjoyed smashing the suitcase out of the Raiders, whether it's the oval or simply supporters like you i can't be sure, i will get great satisfaction watching you this year battle it out for relegation, for the country threds sake i hope you stay put, sorry central followers.

According to you it is a ballsy tip, you've back Bridgewater by 4 goals, you keep telling all that the Raiders are the next
pretender, oops i mean contender.

Is it too late to change my tip - Lofty by 15 + goals.

hi speccy
you have completely humiliated yourself.
there is no way back from here you have too much egg on your face.
there is no other choice but to delete your username and leave the forum forever.
I will also ask that the moderators remove you
and your username should be forever stricken from the records.
Put a cork in it forever the mighty raiders have made a complete a$$ of you.
What a win i have not been so proud since the birth of my son.
