To my understanding most, if not all players mentioned on the website had the wrong points allocated to them. The GSFL hierachy have signed off that all is above board with the club. I have not heard otherwise, despite what people are saying on here..

I wouldnt think there is any dramas with currrent teams , because im sure we would have heard about it by now.

With the points being updated on the 16th you would hope that this is right. Also with so much of the 'paperwork' now being handled via the internet you would hope that a significant matter such as this would be correct.
Would be interested to know who the colt/colts were that played against Bays and Goolwa, certainly couldn't pick it from the players list. I think Crump was the colt that played v McLaren.

Players that played for Yank on Sat V McLaren and points from the website.
T. Fittock.......2 pts
G. Dundovic..2 pts
P. Zwar.........3 pts
P. Mcfarlane..3 pts
K.Lohde........3 pts
B.Kovacic.....3 pts
James Sclanders...3 pts

19 pts less 1 for juniors= 18pts
I think it was Zwar who showed no pts on the team sheet

Where did Zwar play last year and was he a Yank junior? Not too hard to work out his points!!

From memory I reckon he only played one game and that was in the B grade. I don't think he played the previous 2 years.

Yank are right on this issue. Zwar is not supposed to be a "points" player because he hasnt played the required amount of games in 2 years to warrant that. This was cleared up prior to the season beginning but wasnt adjusted on the internet. Bloody technology hey? But well done to Yank on working the system to the absolute max, its paid dividends to date.

Sure am, sure did, and what a great day we had. All the best to Goolwa, we pizzed off some ordinary characters like Parry and Boyd and it's been all up since then. Don't spend any energy on >edited< Yeomans and Ferguson - put your efforts into those that want to be there.

whats the latest on this saga i see on the clearance page that they have been denied twice .... time to move on and just let them go goolwa whats the point of stringing this out ??

Settle down it hasnt been strung out and it certainly wasnt a saga, every club on planet earth would have gone down the path that we took considering they were signed on legit contracts and had already played for us. They left the club Monday the 19th (and mind you we have had no contact from two of them) and will be available tp play for Ironbank this Saturday. Considering when it occurred it actually only took 5 business days to come to an agreement. You have to understand that we were awaiting money to be transferred from Ironbank. The finger was always on the button and the deal has now been sorted.

Thanks for the update LF good for all to have moved on .

Thanks Luvsfooty, now everyone can stop trying to knock Yank from the top of the ladder before they even lose a game, I know its hard for some people to stomach :D

Might no win many games, but main thing is they always go into the oppositon rooms for a drink - looks like Sambo has taken that ruthless, win at all costs culture he instilled at South to the Mudlarks.

Crawl back under the rock you came from Bunton. It shows your from South, slagging off one of the best players to play for the Blue & White, who also took over coaching South when it was on its knees. No doubt he didnt get many wins at South but he sacrificed the wins for the developement of the local zoned players like Crate, Willams, Perry, Turner, Crabb, Rediglo etc. Fuller will no doubt reap the rewards of this. Unlike a few of you small minded people at South looking for a quick fix, we at pongy know where we are at & are looking to develope a group of young players which doesnt happen after 3 rounds. As for a culture of being happy to have a drink after a game, home or away, its been at our club forever & it wont change. It is country footy! As a club we've always played hard off the ground, we need to get back to playing hard on the ground & giving out a tough contest, win or lose. Thats what our club was known for. As a club, if we continue to follow the instructions of Clay i have no doubt the wins will come.

What about young Myles Warmington? He is too old for juniors now and played A grade in Ceduna league all last season. Has also played some games for Port Magpies at some level this year. Points????

Noticed that the clearances have gone through for the 3 guys heading to Ironbank from Goolwa. Credit to you LF for your honest and open feedback as to what was happening.

He is a mail medallist, played U18s at Port this year as an overage player.

Tips for this week c/f total 14/15

Creeks d Bays 40-50 interesting to see Bays with 15 points available - using the Grand total of 2
Victor d Pongy 30 - 40 home ground to save a mauling.
Strath d Yank 15 -25 too quick and at home
Willunga d Mt.Compass 35-45 too good.
McLaren d GPE 1-10 home ground advantage.

Was he still eligible for colts last year?? He was only 17 so i can only assume that he was eligible to still be playing colts so his A-grade games don't count towards the point system??

tips for round 4

Bays to come out with a head of steam only to run out at half time, creeks run away in the second half. 67-76 points
Pongy, still upset with last weeks loss, won't be able to get there first win of the season despite tough play by all Victor to good in the end. 44-57 points
Strath after a hard fought Anzac day match will still be feeling it with one less day to recover but will still come out strong, Yank to withstand the onslaught and hold on for a tight win 11-17 points
Compass on a high from some very good wins of late will suffer a loss to Willunga, despite there best efforts. 34-44 points
Goolwa still pumped from last weeks win over pongy will again show pride in there jumper but will fall short in the dying minutes of the game. Mclaren to win but will suffer an injury to one of there gun players. 11-22 points
