Well i dont think Josh Hawkesworth did bad in the ruck yesterday, probably won more centre hitouts than he lost i would say.

so early but already the predictions are out and the knives are in the back of coaches before round 4 has even arrived.
ihave gone on record that west croydon are the team to beat this year, and that has nothing to do with recruits or who they lost but the fact that they have a very good coach who unlike so many coaches today keeps the game plan simple and plays to his strenghts.after finishing last season off poorly, they regrouped over summer, players got healthy and this season so far they have played with good, disciplined aggression at the ball but also have learnt to use the smaller running players instead of the talls all the time.i do rate the dees and clg highly in the home and away but so far this year they have not had a game that has that pressure, and until then and how they handle it will depend on if they both have made the big step up
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Kevin Sheedy couldnt have coached a better result yesterday. Can only play with what you've got and at the end of the day with no bench and a few blokes staying on the field injured because of no bench it was inevitable that the boys would get touched up.

Perhaps you should come out and watch games before commenting? Easy to sit back and read results and make assumptions!

Ingle Farm wont set the world alight this season but once at full strength will be more than competitve and these margins will be significantly less.

I think Kevin Sheedy could have coached better some how. Results the same as last year .....Disappointing

CLG i feel still the bench mark this season, haven't seen Lockleys but WC are definately a good unit with a very strong forward line.

very disappointing to read comments about IF and what people are saying about coaches and players.for the club to get bigger and stronger, everybody has to be pulling in the same direction and working as hard as possible to firstly remain competive and then to put the hard work in to effect and get results.they may have players out because of injury, work ect,but just reading some of the comments the biggest problem seems to be the same as at most clubs struggling,EGOS,POSITION SAFETY and SELF AGENDAS.the farmers need to get their act together quickly or div 7 could be a reality.

Maybe other stories about Lads could be true, angry incidents on the road, misplaced mobiles & picking private stock orders, all could be true "Lads", let's stick to facts. Which ARE true?
For IF, over 18 + potential A Grade players injured & unavaible for selection, no bench due to injury after 1/2 time & several carrying injuries for duration of game, doesn't leave many options, have to to do what you can with what you have got.

Which of the above are truths for you or does the old adage ring true "once you've had Black......"

What would YOU as a spectator do Lads? What is your expert & accredited coaching experience?

Exactly what I thought.....Nil, just sucking piss & mouthing off on the hill in a division that you would never have had the ability to play let alone coach!

Ahhh....There he is, couldn't just ignore it and concentrate on your job. With a win loss record like yours it doesn't pay to get defensive

don't rate CLG?

Way to early to say West Croydon are the team to beat. They are a very well organised team with good team structures. Their main strength yesterday was their runners in the second half. I suspect their main weakness could be how they handle opposition with tall forwards.

Good side, but not sure they are any better than CLG or Lockleys and I'm sure Trinity will be there abouts at the business end.

Has been their weakness the past few years. Very good ruckman/forwards, but thin pickings in defence and a totally different side away from home.

I think it is an extremely BIG call to say we (West Croydon) are the team to beat, actually it's down right ridiculous! All due respect to our opponents thus far, but we haven't beaten anyone who's up and running yet. In saying that i'd expect Trinity and Paralowie to significantly improve along with Ingle Farm if they can get their best side on the paddock.

CLG and Lockeys are clearly the two most likely so far with Kenilworth and West Croydon a notch behind AT THE MOMENT. It's a looong season and premierships aren't won in April.

Anyway, well done to West Croydons A's and B's yesterday, i'd say it's been a few years since we got the double two weeks in a row...definately a first in my time coaching there.

Div 6 Tipping Comp Update

Seven people tipped truly in all five games this week - Lance's Brother, dee man, possum, S Demon, The Real Number 3, The Riddler, and watchdog. Morell would have had five had he not tipped a draw, he'd also probably be up the top of the leaderboard if he didn't tip draws every week ;)

Heading the tips after 3 Rounds:

13 - Lance's Brother, bomberrob
12 - Darth Demon, Demon Juke, Footy Chick, LaughingKookaburra, The Riddler, TIRED TIGER, watchdog
11 - carey, dee man, Ian, Phantom Gossiper, possum, Road to Glory, S Demon, The Bartman, The Real Number 3, zedman
10 - demonseye, unknown source

***Please Note - If you fail to submit tips for a third week (before Round 9), you'll be eliminated from the competition. Will save me chasing down tips.

A lot of injuries and " underdone" comments keep cropping up..
Maybe put the balls away and getting them hard and fit would assist ??
Given it's round 4, that may be a bit late !!!
