Ive got Barlow, Ballantyne, Gram to come and 89 ahead.

Wombats have Barlow, Pavlich, Silvangi, Goddard to come.

I'm worried, Pavlich & Goddard having blinders!!

I thought you had me there for a while. i checked the progressive score sunday morning and didnt like what i saw. i didnt look at it again till this morning, i wasnt game enough to!

Now for this week. who will the tribunal deny me this time???

Pav and Goddard both pulled through in the 130s while Ballantyne had 6 touches for 26. Hurtful!

Well done.

If people dont mind i have done a bit of a preview of the weekend ahead. feel free to disagree with my assesments. they arent in the same league as dogmatics analysis, mainly done as a bit of a generalised preview of the upcoming week.

BloodnTars vs Longwood Lions: The lions had a first up win and should be confident of backing that up this week. Bloodntars had a bit of a down week and will need a return to form, and then some, to get the points this week. Tip – Longwood Lions comfortably

Ankles United vs BenjisBeasts: The ankles had a nice lift in the first of the head to head rounds and nearly got to the 2000 point mark. They will need to lift further however as the beasts have been tracking just north of that point. Tip – BenjisBeasts in a close one

Nutkickers vs Jim’s TigeRoos: Both of these teams are looking to back up their wins last week. The Tigers will have to return to their round one form though if they are going to upset the ultra consistent Nutkickers. Tip – Nutkickers in another close one

Leisa’s Lovelies vs Prestige Worldwide: Both teams looking for their first win of the season. Going on last weeks scores this could be an absolute thriller! The lovelies have been the more consistent performer over the pre season though so the tip will have to go to them. Tip – Leisa’s Lovelies by the skin of their teeth

THE BLOODS vs The Wonder Elephants: This is arguably a top of the table clash, 1 vs 2. however with the elephants scoring well below their average score last week can they recover to knock the Bloods off of top spot? Tip – THE BLOODS comfortably.

The Glory Shed vs HorsePlay: From top of the table to the bottom. These two teams are the “strongest” in our league. Dare I say it but this weekend could see the presentation of the dreaded wooden spoon. It will also be the hardest game to pick. Tip – The Glory Shed, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong

Killer Wombats! Vs The Goonies: The wombats have been tracking along nicely, and with the tribunal leaving the team alone this week they may post their highest score to date. The Goonies however posted a great score last week, they were just unlucky to be playing our leagues highest point scorer of the week. They do seem to be on the improve though. Tip – Killer Wombats! In yet another close game (my tip may be somewhat biased here though!)

Knuckle Sandwich vs StatsEnough: Stats enough had a great game when it counted. They have had a good pre season but turned it up another notch for the first head to head round. Knuckle sandwich didn’t go down without a fight last week but may be hard pressed to win if their opponent maintains their high standard. Tip – StatsEnough comfortably

Good luck to all the coaches and teams this week (except the goonies, nothing personal ;) )

WLF I think the advice REB would give is to try to keep you powder dry. 8)

Basic rules of trading are:
1. Do not have any prejudices
2. Never trade sideways
3. Look to the $ amount that you can achieve out of each player in the long term
4. When you reach that amount harvest cash
5. Look to improving your score over time not just next week.

I have had many temptations until now but only a devastating injury as made me trade the once. :(

ALRIGHT having said that I feel my concerns I have publically expressed about my team need some action.
Although rule 6 is WAIT and WATCH

Mitchell is performing well in other competitions but not Super Coach and that includes not playing in the last quarter last week. Does Sewell make the difference? He has dropped 80K can I afford more?

I listen to most games but see few. Every now and then the commentary draws me to watch a particular player (in the shed) which impacts my decisions.

As a result I might pick up Pods this week?

(But remember I only watch country footy games each Saturday)
8) 8) 8) 8)

ROUND 5 FIXTURE

BloodnTars (10) vs Longwood Lions (3)
Both forward lines are spluttering however the Lions have an advantage in ruck and their captains come to play.

Ankles United (14) vs BenjisBeasts (6)
For ankles to win more of his batsmen who get starts need to go on and made hundreds.
Unlikely to happen on the green tops. Benjis comfortably

Nutkickers (2) vs Jim's TigerRoos
Nutkickers has matchwinners all over the ground and should prevail in a close game.

Leisa's Lovelies (8) vs Prestige Worldwide (13)
Fitness could be a worry for the lovelies after a tough game last week. Prestige is on the improve and the selection table could be the difference.

THE BLOODS (1) vs wonder elephants (5)
The Bloods has too much class and consistency for the Elephants.

The Glory Shed (15) vs HorsePlay (16)
Match of the round, these 2 evenly matched teams will be going head to head until the game is decided by a penalty shootout. Lift your games.

Killer Wombats! (7) vs The Goonies (11)
The Wombats are in good form and The Goonies are on the improve. Select your captain correctly and you will win the game.

Knuckle Sandwich (12) vs Stats Enough (4)
The Dog is hungry and he’ll have a sandwich and chew on the bones.

The selectors will have a massive impact this week and depth will be tested.
It could be time to trade.

Will be pushing sh!t up hill to get a win this weekend, with players getting dropped/injured left right and centre, may only end up with 4 fwds playing unless a trade or 2 happens.......

You are in need for a couple of trades to your forward line.
If Polak can't get a game in the current Richmond team get rid of him.
Pods & Rockliff would be good pickups.
Winmar will be unlikely to play this year.

Good call Doggy. Both of those trades will make Mickey money and score him some points as well. Note to Mickey - it was Nicholas Winmar the Saints drafted and not Nicky Winmar. ;)
