I tend to think that his pending "tell all" book (if ths is true) was a major motive.

saw john silvester respected crime journo and author of the underbelly books on the telly last night and he believes it may have something to do with the corrupt drug squad coppers who got jail time in the early 2000s, 3 or 4 got convicted iirc, and with dhakota's school fees being paid and carl being let out for a holiday on the coast last year it looks like he might have become informant - he would have thought he had nothing to lose, maybe a promise of setting a parole period on his sentence, apparently all the animals were barking and howling in barwon monday night, so thats what they thought of carl
