Maddog carried his fine form from Oakbank into Saturday, it promised a lot but in the end he couldn't get it up I mean get going.

apparently MAD DOG looked very fit and crisp on the track last night? can anyone else confirm this...wat is the verdict on his immediate fututre down at havens, another week in the 2's?

From all reports he trained the house down, walking 3 or 4 brisk laps.
Would think another run in the 2's and then I'm sure he would be knocking on the door of the A's in round 3, Providing he can run a full game out.
I think the effects of a massive Oakbank are still taking its toll, needs to get the blood pumping and fire up.
How did MAD DOG go last night at training? Is he in the 2s again for another week?
Yeah mate he's in the A's. Hopefully he remembers to bring his contacts with him this week :D

I believe MAD DOG has been promoted into the A's this week. Unusual call as surely he could not have been picked on form. If that was the case he would have been lucky to sneak onto the bench in the C grade. Didn't do much at training during the week either from all reports. A definite liability this week.
Yes from all reports a promotion after only 2 or 3 training sessions seems quite unusual. However, i have seen this lad play once or twice and he seems to be an absolute superstar in the making. Whether his sheer talent this week will be enough only time will tell....
I have a sneaking suspicsion that you have seen him more than once or twice SS to make that kind of prediction or perhaps even played with him...

Mad Dog doesnt value female opinions in regards to football as they lack credibility. Just like female commentators, female opinions should be kept to themselves.

After a couple of hectic weeks after losing OB, we finally last night annouced our coach and Leadership group for season 2010.

Matthew Rowlands was named as our Senior coach meaning he will be our Captain/coach. He has 2 assistants, Aaron Burridge and Shane Griffen who will be our Bench coach.

Along with Rolla, Leigh Forrest will be our Club captain for season 2010.

There are also 3 vice captains aswell, they are Jake Watts, Matthew Davidson and Matthew Eagles.

Well done to all the players that have been selected to lead our club this season and best of luck to Rolla, he has the full respect and support of the playing group to lead us in the right direction this season.

Good to hear that things are looking positive around the club Dark Knight

Aaron Burridge brings years of coaching experince back to the club with him  Sounds funny at 22? ( I know he's only very early 20's) but its true - did a great job in taking the 18's to the GF a couple of years back.

and by the sounds, extremely lucky to have Griffo back as well

Was it Wattsy's choice to stand back from a captaincy/coaching role this year?

It might be time to bring Supercoach back from exile then :)
Shane Griff, not Owen Griff, FC if I'm correct in your tone of post

Yeah the supercoach is back and he did do a great job getting us to a GF 2 years ago.

And not exactly sure about Jake FC, all I know is he hasn't trained much throughout the preseason and hasn't been able to be around the group as much. He has struggled to play and get through a game mainly because of his knees. He's not playing this week because he pulled up badly last week and hasn't been able to recover.

Not harsh is it? - men should treat em mean and keep em keen, leave the women at home. Dishes, Kids, Ironing, Wash the bathroom, toilet and then do the cooking for when I get home. no place in a footy club for women is there. wa wa wa and stop your drinking is all we here at the footy when they get together anyway.

things were done slowly but pretty well at Haven. Watsy was asked about the whole coaching role but is doing a great job with the U 16's. He will always be a leader at the club but probably could't be Skipper this year when he can't always train. I think Forry will do a grteat job. Strong leader, good player and has already been a captain in the higher grades. I wish the Haven lads the best of luck.
