game in the balance but favour the cockies
sc 209 norm 64 tanunda 1/19, its a score that Wall can get so i guess james07 wont be sleeping that well 2nite

nuri 70 runs in front of central 8 wickets down with play to continue tomorrow. gods knows why, central would need one of the great mans miracles to get up from there

havnt heard any A1 res scores

A2 ango 9/236 will be more than enough against light pass
sandy creek need bout another 10 runs 4 wickets down to beat central

game well and truely in the balance, Boh is the massive key we just need to hit tight lines all day and we should come out on top but im tipping its going to go right down to the wire

Well done Cockadoney on the money with how the game would go but Boh wasnt the man to get he blockies close young gattermayr batted well for 50 odd bot ratcliffe starred with 6. i think he sent catchit a message sending all his love.

wow mate did you write that at about 11pm last night with a skin full of crownies?

Yes he did bat well yesterday shouldve been out early with a ball that went to the keeper off the middle of his bat but he held his nerve very well and almost got it done for them. Boh saving himself for 6 or 7 may have hurt them also

A1 res light pass 81 greenock 9/96 play to continue
A2 ango 108 sandy creek 4/59 very much in the balance

bad luck to the cockies 0/2 but overall a good 1st up season in the big league with the big boys!
the game they needed to play didnt and the game they wanted no play they did, oh well thats the way the cookie crumbles

catch ya boys at the sandy pub 2moro

does t.lee suffer from small man syndrome? quite an appalling display of sportsmanship from 4 of your 2nd eleven today that wouldnt turn up for the shield and medal presentations. sour grapes, we were the best team all year and still very confident of a win 2day. we only lost one game all year and u boys didnt get close to us so take it on the chin and get over it. a.lee a deserved winner of man of the match.
look forward to next year if the sandy boys are good enuff to get back and challenge us again

Days the issue was that this couldve been there last year of cricket for a few of those lads and they were very confident of knocking you guys off and to not get an opportunity was very dissapointing to them. Emotions can get the better of you at times and this was probably the case. To have the A1 Grand Final played just up the road in appauling conditions (JL's words exactly) was definitely an intersting scenario and has set a precedent that NO game of turf crickey in the B&LCA should ever get called off due to weather conditions. The mud pit that was the pitch looked like it had gone through a day of footy rather than cricket.

Dont take these words as sour grapes we as a team felt we should have won the game anyway and congrats needs to be given to the Nuri boys as they wanted it more, Doecke and Prior were excellent for them on the day and i must say Lydeamores speech to the Sandy boys after the game was tremendous and the words he spoke meant alot to the Sandy boys, onto next year and try and go one further

obviously an angaston person

our pitch held up a hell of a lot better than stockwells did and if i remember correctly we wouldve been happy to come off but the umpire deemed it safe because none of the bowlers were slipping as was the case on sunday. at least that day our batsmen werent falling over everytime they turned for a second run

I'd certainly hope you're not knocking the Stockwell pitch. Pitches aren't designed to be played on in the weather that was going on. And Stockwells is in the best couple in the comp easily.

I think the descision to stay on in all games was unusual.

mate i agree, we played on it in the one day final and it was a very good pitch, but even adelaide oval wouldve looked the same with the amount of rain we had on it. wasnt knocking the pitch i was just stating that i thought the sandy creek pitch held up better

Son your ego's cashin' cheques your body cant cash
but never in doubt was our young Billy Bob, most talented cricketer to play for Sandy Creek since Vaughn Gray took the field against Elizabeth South back in '58.Talk around the gum tree at the moment is that Bill will have the ground named after him on his retirement. Tell you one thing though that Roberts is due to give it away did nothing this year there is some quality kids coming through and there comes a time in ones life where someone needs to say that its time to move aside to help these kids develop if we are going to move forward. Tim Lee certainly copped a pasting much to my disgust on here. Who does that Daysofourlives think he is?
At least our womens side showed some grit and brought home the silverware. Sick of the excuses, thats not true Sandy passion however it was the season we thought we would break through and thought we were the king pins coming into the Barossa Light competition well this seasons over and to that i say.

youre probably right about Roberts 47 wickets and 340 runs plus being named captian of the BLCA team of the year he should give it away
i'll pass it on. By the way we know you want to be a real Sandy Creek Cockatoo but you never will keep hoping.

creekers creekers creekers, the forums been quiet without ya and maybe it should go back to being quiet if your going to bag robbo like that. couldnt have taken home many more awards than he did this year, won plenty of games off his own back (including the one day final) and captained the side very well IMO. as for the "excuses" if you were anywhere near the club on that weekend you would have understood our reaction and feelings to the whole situation unless your just on here to wind everyone up (likely)
