Or the bloke who took two steps and then headbutted the ground with no one around?

Yeah we certainly had a horror run with injuries in the C's and B's.
In the C grade we played the majority of the 2nd half with 15 or 16 on the field and (obviously) no bench.
- One bloke broke his finger and the bone was sticking stright through the skin - had surgery and is ok.
- One bloke went off to hospital with a hip problem (I think this is the one you are referring to but probably the least serious of the lot as it turns out)
- One bloke dislocated his knee
- One bloke broke his nose and lost some teeth
- One bloke concussed but will be fine next week

Couple more injuries in the B's meant no bench there too!

Good thing we got the points in the A's otherwise it would have been a very dark day!

haha thanks mate....

i was hoping as a part of the role you got a free navmann or similar?

i might just have to play every second game at home, and not get lost.

Congratulations on ya first win as coach to.
i heard everyone was happy with the all round performance.

keep the wins comin mate.

What does everyone think about the withdrawal of Pulteney's C grade?

The SAAFL is now asking whether the remaining 8 clubs want to:

a) Carry on with the current comp ie there would be 4 byes - games vs Pulteney & Salisbury West.

b) Restructure the whole thing to form an 8 team comp - meaning playing some teams 3 times.

I'm all for a) as the restructure would surely mess with triple header plans etc.

Seems some clubs though would prefer to offer their players a full 18 games and like option b).

Thoughts?

i think option a would be better, leave things as it is as the clubs can keep their triple headers.

The SAAFL can either reward the 2 points for the games you would have played against the 2 clubs or just count them in as the bye, either way it will work out.

Otherwise it will mess with sponsors days etc that we have organised.

im 31 years old, option A for me!! At least we are all in the same boat being done so early so there would be no real dissadvantage there, in B there could be as some of the stronger teams may end up playing the not so strong teams three times! This way we all play each other evenly, makes for a more balanced comp IMO.

Ledger is actually fine at the moment as the renovations have not started yet but we will be playing 6 games at Woodville oval and a couple at Thebby.

C Grade will depend on if we have triple headers otherwise when the A's and B's play away the C's will play at Ledger

Yep. With 8 A grade premiership players in the B's and 4 returning probable A graders to give a run to someone had to miss out and unfortunately it was Dents. Needs to work a bit harder on the track and play a bit smarter does 'Mini Scudds' but he will be back in the B's very soon unless we manage to find more players somewhere..... It was a very hard call but he wasn't alone in the 'hard call basket' this week along with a number of other good players dropping down.
