Dumped Riewoldt and Franklin for Brown and Boomer Harvey

Riewoldt will be out for nearly half the year and Franklin doesnt look right.

Made my first 2 trades for the year in the hope to get off to a really good start.

I decided to downgrade Shoenmakers to Chris Schmidt ( who i feel will play the majority of the year in the crows line up, even when the injured players resume) as a bench player in the backline, and then upgraded a disinterested Bernie Vince to Matthew Boyd. Boyd is someone who scores really really well, and i wanted him in my midfield simply because i love the way the bloke plays.

This also leaves me with 46k in the bank, which hopefully Browny has a shocker and a Didak or someone has a cracker and i can then replace those two or even wait a couple weeks and upgrade a mid range player to Johnathon Brown.

Looking forward to the game this week!

How many of you have already made your trades? You should never trade until the teams have been selected at the very earliest. I have an idea of what I want to do but because I've got Otto and the Cats like to put the big Cat in Cotton wool that means I have to wait until well into Friday before I make my decision.

I'll be doing a lot of Cat related research to try and find out what they are going to do with Otto. The golden rule with Cat players is never believe anything Neil Balme says LOL.

Will wait until Friday afternoon as usual. Unless you're travelling to Outer Mongolia where you can't be sure you'll get an internet connection I don't understand why people trade early.

I was thinking of going Riewoldt --> Goodes, but will probably change that to Brown I reckon. I was hoping to wait until Brown has a bad one to help bring his price down but it doesn't look like happening anytime soon.

I know that is true dutchy but I reckon by the time Martin or ottens returns, not sure who he replaced, if it's ottens he is set to sty onthe list for the whole year, but if it's Martin, come round 11 each club can elevate a rookie for the rest of the year, and I reckon this will be schmidt. Asking as he gets a couple more games I'm more then happy as he will be a good bench player and better then schoenmakers. Plus I wanted Boyd and Joe I got him.

REB I needed to make trades last night as I won't have time to do it layer today or tomorrow. Had no choice besides not trading!!!!

Would think Shoenmakers will get more of the shut down role Gibson was trying to do

REBCats team to play Brown Nosed Fev

B: Malceski, Hodge (v), Enright, O'Brien, Silvangi, Harbrow, Hayden
M: Ablett (c), Barlow, Anthony, Bastinac, Martin, Vince
R: Sandilands, Ottens
F: O'Keefee, Higgins, Goodes, Hall, Rioli, Ziebell, Duncan
I: Lobbe, Mayne, Nason

OUT: Tippett, Riewoldt (Trade), Mayne
IN: O'Keefe, Rioli, Duncan.

Otto selected on an extended bench as is Lobbe. Simpson dropped from the Cats side so a pretty strong indication that Otto will play. Hopefully if Otto misses that Lobbe gets a gig for the Power. Had to burn two trades as you can't have nearly 600k sitting on the sidelines for nearly the whole year and I've had a gutful of Tippett. I've selected Duncan ahead of Mayne as I reckon it won't be a productive night for Freo forwards (Except for Pav) win or lose. That makes it tough for players like Mayne and say Ballayntine. I reckon Barlow won't score many also but my back up plan of Shuey is out with a kneee and Jetta hasn't been scoring points. Captain Ablett after last week's brain fart with Hodgey a VC as he has an excellent record against the Pies.

So ROK in for Riewoldt - not losing much there. And Junior Boy in for Tippett. Similar price there for both trades but Rioli's break even is pretty low and Hawthorn have a soft draw after the Collngwood game so I'm anticpating a lot more points for Cyril than for Tippett over the next six or seven weeks.

Next week I get Shannon Hurn back so hopefully no further injuries so don't need to use any trades for a while.

GAME ON.

1 Trade used this week, reiwoldt out for ROK. Thornton dropped and Bock injured has left my denfence very light on, with nason getting a gig on the pine. Hoping Thornton spends 1 week max in the vfl......please no injuries this week :ympray: good luck to all

1 Trade - Cotchin for Gilbee.

Had $160k in the bank and couldn't justify keeping it there, needed to get it out onto the field.

Could've upgraded Tippett, but I still couldn't afford Sandilands and besides him nobody else is really setting the world alight at the moment. I might live to regret the decision but anyway, roll the dice on the big Tip and see what happens.

I've done one just as bad...Roger Hayden! What was I thinking? I'm praying that the shmo starts firing up soon. He got me a 90 odd in the first game but jack 5hit ever since. Much happier too being Tippett free..I felt like throwing things at the TV last week and normally when the Crows lose this gives me joy.

No trades this week, can't make a decision on Riewoldt, if I drop my first round then so be it. Maybe Rockliff can play a blinder against the Bullies and I'll get lucky. Riewoldt, Hurn, Clark and Shuey and sit out this week thanks to injuries and suspensions, hmmm, that's a bit of cash doing SFA.
