I thought maybe i was being a bit harsh, umpiring is a tough gig, but can you think of anyone who enjoys being the center of attention, plucking frees, blowing the wistle to get envolved in the game & changing the momentum of a team/game more than froggie?

Ramblers beat Mannum by around 8 goals!!! :D I think our flight has now been detected by the radar ;)
Jervois beat Tailem with a kick after the siren, then a massive all in fight
Meningie beat Mypo by 4 goals, apparently the Tigers were quite good tho, with Meningie kicking 6 goals to zip in the first 1/4, & it being Mypo's first game.

I think Meningie won by a bit more than 4 goals.... Was 20.21 to 16.6 I think.... So maybe the Tigers were okay, but poor kicking meant Meningie didn't win by as much as they should've...

Yes 41 scoring shots to 22 could have been much worse will be interesting to see how they go this week against Mannum.

Interesting thing happened in the Mannum Ramblers game. Ramblers came out after half time and no sign of Mannum they kept blowing the siren, Ramblers lined up still no sign of them. Then just as they ran out the rooms the umpires started the quarter handed the ball to Ramblers who subsequently kicked it to Full Forward and kicked an unchallenged goal. Pretty dumb by Mannum what can take more than 20 minutes at half time to complete?

Also apparently Tailem up by 6 goals at 3 qtr time and lost from there!

Surely the coach has to take responsability for that loss then

why?? its the same 21 blokes that got them 6up that lost it. a coach once the game has started has minimal impact on the result. unless hes an absolute peanut and swaps off the better players.

The rumor is gun recruit for Meningie, Ben Noske has injured his knee....doesnt sound to good, which will really hurt Meningie's midfield rotations....Source says he will give footy away (for the year at least) if anything too bad.... :(

Yeah saw him after the game. Looked to be walking alright but did say he heard a crunch. Will be interesting to see what happens. Should hopefully get Rossi back in a few weeks to cover Noske but agreed would hurt as he looked pretty descent. His brother can play too.

Tailem had a real crack early and made the game scrappy as they would like it but were just over run.

Just been confirmed that Ben Noske requires another full knee recon....poor bloke!! How is Brunoli going down south???

Yeah seems to be going ok although will struggle without his brother to kick it to him, in that first match i doubt ive seen a better combo. Ben just seemed to know where Dan was going
