Thanks mate, I was worried our buns comp would have to be suspended for a week! Did the SANFL give any reason for the delay?

Just hope some overly concerned individuals who have mounted a crusade to talk down our crowd numbers will take note.

Who were they? I missed that unless you're talking about Rucci?

Thought the Unley crowd would've been at least 4000, disappointing crowd really.

Looks like a disappointing round for crowds all over. The Eagles wouldn't have been happy with 1900, Sturt were advertising they thought that 5000 people would be in attendance and although 4500 wouldnt get to 2 of our matches I would suggest that Port probably would have expected more than that?

There was a threat of rain on Saturday (in fact it bucketed down at the start at Woodville) so you cant compare with Sunday.

Port may have expected more, but should still be happy with the biggest crowd at Alberton for five years.

Do we take off "0" or "00" from that number to get a more accurate South Adelaide membership total?

Panther Park may have been a little rough around the edges, but I wouldn't have called it a Hole.

Had the match been played at Thebarton Oval under lights on the Friday night they would have had well over double that figure, although it would most likely never happen, it may have been one suggestion to negotiate with West Adelaide and had the game at RIchmond under lights to focus on getting a good crowd in and advertising the club to the public.

Do we take off "000" from that number to get a monthly survival period for Port Adelaide........

On a more serious note does anyone have crowd numbers for:

Round 1: Glen v Nor
Round 1: South v Sturt
Round 2: North v Sturt

I've done a quick peruse of the threads but couldn't spot anything.....

Cheers

IIRC Glenelg v Norwood Rd 1 was 4286
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
