Im guessing mid-80's and I was shocked to discover how long it took for wheely bins to reach Adelaide

I wouldn't take this as gospel. The producers are not known for attention when it comes to time frames. There was even a scene where the woman was getting 20c pieces out to pay for a drink and one was clearly a late Elizabeth obverse (1999 onwards). The last series was riddled with time line errors as well.

All in all, it was OK.

Not sure that it is meant to be a documentary so you can expect some leeway in fact

Boring. I'm not warming to the characters at all.
Funny to say but they haven't much charm.
Just seem stupid.

We like gangster shows because of the bravado, charm, swagger and fearlessness they show.

Quite enjoying it personally, finding it a fascinating depiction of stories that I followed with a great deal of interest when it first became apparent.

Was rumoured that series four will cover Sir Joh and The Fitzgerald Inquiry.

I didn't even bother watching last night's episode. The first episode was boring and glorified that Ibrahim guy way too much. Sadly this is what happens with FTA networks, they stumble across something that "works" and then proceed to bleed every last drop out of it they can. The first series was good, the second was pretty ordinary and this one looks even worse.

Yes - I have a very keen interest in this series as does my wife who was stationed at Kings Cross at the same time that the infamous "Chook" Fowler was in Charge of the Detectives. Prior to that she worked in Central when Rogerson was moved from Armed Robbers back to General Detectives. Some of the "stories" that she relays about both those blokes and their cronies (and verified by her collegues at the time - some who are still serving NSW Police) are very "interesting" indeed!

Anyone who can remember the "reality" expose aired on the ABC re the NSW Police about 15 yrs ago called "Cop it Sweet" will have some small insight in to the mindset of the NSW Police Force in general back in those days!

If someone other than Nine has the rights to Blue Murder they should show it in competition with Underbelly XLVIII. Nine would be screaming Blue Murder because that is the best Aussie true crime show ever and they'd take an absolute bath in the ratings.
