Alleway is clearly not the best KPP in the league.

Agree with Robranisgod Bucky Summerton was brilliant today
I thought that Davis was outstanding early and got NA its qtr time lead
On that form Davis should play against Carlton next week and not South Adelaide

Davis would only get a game with the Crows because of their injuries. He did 3 good things all game, never manned up or chased for 90 percent of the game and he looked and played like he was disinterested in the main.

thought I was watching an U12 game today......total flooding by both sides......

North should have won by a bigger margin if they had kicked straight....

Damon White was the difference.....he marked everything that came his way....

robranisgod wrote:How good would Summerton be in a better side. He was sensational today. When no one else could use the ball he was always finding a man. He is small but why is he not on an AFL list. Sure ho got plenty of easy touches but he got a heap of hard balls as well. He always plays well against North, is he that good against other teams?

Absolutely agree with that. Bucky Summers has been Ports best and most consistent player. He almost always finds a target, is quick and hard at the ball. I'd say the only reason he's not on an AFL list is his size.

Absolutely gutted about the result as I really thought we'd have it this week, but once again very proud of the fight put up by the Magpies today. If only Jezza had kicked straight in the last, but not his fault we didn't quite get there. I think the inexperience and age of the side results in lapses in concentration and intensity, which costs us for small periods in each game. It happened against Central and the Eagles in the second quarter in each of those games and again today in the first.

If Bangers can sort out the concentration issue and improve Ports skill level, we'll turn these close losses into wins straight away.

Hopefully we'll open our account at the parade in a fortnight.

i like everyone else agree it was a scrappy game with very poor skills on display, the closeness of the scores made it more interesting & exciting throughout the day, port were tenacious & never threw in the towell & north kept them in the game with poor kicking at goal (i know how that feels), i thought that damon white was clearly the best player on the ground.................with port having a chance at 3/4 time were my eyes deceiving me or did another 500-1000 walk into the ground ?
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

He's not the best. How did he go in Round 1?

To be pedantic, it's pedantic, not padantic, otr ;)

Thanks for that, TSG.

It gives me the opportunity to compare Ferguson and Alleway's recent form.

Ferguson - State CHB and 2nd best on ground. Alleway?

Ferguson - Polled way ahead of Alleway or any other KPP in last year's MM. Alleway polled in only one game.

Round 1, 2010?

At one stage, a while ago, Alleway may well have been one of the very best KPP's, but I think his form over the last year or so has dropped off, possibly because he looked to have been playing injured. If he gets back to top form, he may well be again, but he certainly hasn't been for a long time. Given the choice between Alleway, Ferguson and Chambers, I'd think most would have Alleway 3rd.

I'm not sure he's even the best KPP at North Adelaide, let alone the League.

To answer one of your trademark posts, TSG:

:D if you think it's Alleway

Magarey Medal votes is possibly one of the worse ways to compare players.

Davis shooting for goal in the first quarter was puerile and set the scene for North's inability to finish. He missed two sitters y not allowing for the wind. An under 14 would have been dragged for those efforts. He was soft in the second and third quarters and refused to chase. He had a good last quarter, but he would have to do a lot more to play in the AFL.

Sometimes, sometimes not.

In this case, it's pretty compelling, even if it doesn't suit your agenda.

That's what they said two years ago when I first said Ferguson was the best CHB in the League 8)

How do you rate Damon White against Alleway over the last 12 months. I see he was named best for this game.

Oh, try to resist your usual put-downs, TSG and give a football answer.

you are quite clearly biased and I dont know why you make comments like this. Wait until 1/2 way thru the year before you make your comments and base them on facts.......as most of us will.
