BYO works fine at trial games and beer is only served in plastic cups at Norwood, it's in cans elsewhere.

Think your getting your muzzies & catholics a little disorientated there.
Can't ever rememer the nuns teaching that one.

Not sure why you'd want to involve Muslims on a Catholic feast day.

...and no the nuns didn't teach abstinence of Good Friday hence the use of 'uber'. In fact if you want a drink then the Vatican is probably one place your sure to get one...only other places I can think of that would have such a draconian attitude to Good Friday would be the Hebridian Islands that are still very much Presbyterian.

Yeah, but Unley can only hold 500 people. 600 at a stretch.

Incidentally - I could do without booze at a footy match. Recently fell off the wagon after 2 months sans alcool. Lost 6 kilos in the process and would do it again in a jiffy 8)

I didn't look for a beer Thursday night, but in previous seasons I have always bought my beer in a can at Norwood. Is this something new Wedgie, or does it depend on what part of the ground you buy it?

They've had pale in a cup on Coopers Hill and at Coopers corner for a while now, another great thing about Norwood is there's about 5 bars so it's probably in cans at the smaller bars. They cater well there!

Would you still go to the football if there was no alcohol available at the ground nor were you permitted to bring in containers? Will not having alcohol available at the match have an effect either up or down on the crowd numbers in your opinion?

Thoughts?

No alcohol at the footy sounds somewhat sacreligous.......would a glass of red be acceptable on Good Friday ?
