Tell me about it. Every Showdown I have to put up with being threatened with boiling hot tea and near razor sharp knitting needles, fortunatley the tri-coloured cushions and part completed Nanna-blankets break my fall.

All these self-proclaimed 'God's Country' places seem to overrun by feral bogans.

Cronulla is another classic example.

Canterbury fans are quite 'special'.

Most feral place I've been?

Village Tavern

No better way to relax and unwind at 4AM close than to buy a hot dog and Coke from the roadkill van...

Sit back and enjoy the show as fights broke out in the car-park left, right and centre.

Some of those chicks could seriously throw down.

Come on guys, the Village Tavern was my Thurdsay night home from the age of 16 through to about 21. Not a thursday night goes by where i don't once think of all the shanningans that use to go on at that place. At least since it shut down Fridays exsist again.

I hardly go watch Geelong there and travel interstate instead, it's got to the point that I now have a Melbourne 11 membership for my family instead of an interstate membership which would entitle me to entry at Geelongs games here.
My missus is a Crows supporter and she'd rather watch them on TV or in Victoria because ofthe amount of wankers at Footy Park.

Adolf Hitler new that Individuals are smart but a crowd is stupid. You go to any event with a lot of people and you could say that there are wankers everywhere. Like you I'm a Cat but unlike you I went to plenty of Geelong v Crows matches (not too bloody sure why though as we lost every time except once!) and I NEVER got sledged, spat on or even insulted and I was standing up singing the Cats song when we FINALLY broke through for a win. The Crows fans were pretty good natured about even though we gave em Gary Ayres. I got a few plastic bottles thrown at me but hey I'm not a great singer. All good.

The only time I ever felt threatened was by this Port (Magpies) supporter when I was decked out in my Johnny Wynne 1978 jumper and full Redleg gear. Cripes how many times did they have to beat us during September for this pyshco to bear a Norwood fan standing next to him saying nothing?

There's one in every crowd and Eddie is probably that one but he got elected president LOL.

Most of it's bloody true though so I can't do much about it.

If you want comedy gold, just watch the Adelaide v Sydney match again. I thought I was watching Geelong 2003 all over again. A little midget with B.O. kicking a bag, a club best and fairest standing at fullback. Craig is a comedic genius! ;)

Its funny because a few years ago Eddie loved the "passion" that Collingwood supporters gave the opposition in the old Victoria Pk days. Ironic, it was a badge of honour back then !

Any AFL presdient threatening to vandalise an AFL ground, even as a joke, is way out of line. The AFL need to pull him in, slap him with a fine, and tell him to shut up.

Neil Craig doesnt need to draw any more attention to himself. He will be sacked if they lose Saturday make no mistake. As for Eddies comments, great humour and passion, grow up the rest of you for taking it seriously
