Not too bad considering it was a Thursday night right before the Easter break. Both teams were a mix of A's and B's for 5 quarters. I know Meads had primarily B graders by the end of the second quarter and got up by quite a few goals, but no real score was kept count on field, only what the coaches may of had.

Not long till it starts now, throwin in my tips for the first round.

Echunga Vs Torrens Valley - Obvious pick. Will be interesting to see how much TV have pushed away from the pack
Nairne Vs Callington - Easy choice, but please for the love of the game, let us see that Cally have improved
Gumeracha Vs Meadows - Will be a very close game. I believe Meads will get up by the smallest of margins
Kangarilla Vs Macclesfield - Kangies seem to have a revolving door this pre season, lots of ins and outs. With that i reckon they'll beat Maccy in another close game.
Kersbrook Vs Sedan/Camb - Kersbrook should hand out a flogging to the new boys to the comp. Have to wait until round 2 to really see how they are with the post James boys spell

Echunga V Torrens Valley - Would like to see the Dees get up but seriously if Gaz cant buy a flag this year he needs to give me his money and i'll spend it. TV by 10 Goals (and every other game this year)
Gumeracha V Meadows - I think Gum could have a good season this year if Tommo can keep all the lads out of the clink but home detention anklets or not, Gum by 6 Goals with 2 Red cards and 4 Yellows.
Kangarilla V Macclesfield - This may be the season where Maccy puts a few runs on the board. Im tossing a coin on this one but Maccy by a Goal
Kersbrook V Sedan/Cambrai - Well i think we all know little about the S/C Maggies I wish them well for the year. I would also like to wish M. Gardner good luck as he has been given the job of baby sitting P. James (as co-captians). The Brookers by 15 Goals.
Nairne V Callington - Yeah might be exciting........... Nairne have a lot of good young tallent this year led by J. Laube. The Rams by 35 Goals with a loud yawn at the final sirren.
Good luck to all in Round 1

They may struggle in the footy this year, but at least the lads at Callington will be fully equipped with a whole heap of Hahn Super Dry gear :ymapplause:

Gums beat Meadows by 4 points after leading into the final break by 4 goals and at one stage up by 8 goals in the 3rd. A dubious decision against meadows in the goalsquare cost them a certain win in the dying minutes

The ball was stopped just before the goal line was very close, A good hitout by both sides with some positive signs from botch clubs Meadows have improved from last year, If Gumeracha want to be a top 3 side then they have a lot of work to do

Meant the Chad Dawe mark mate. Gums did look very good in the first half, certainly had the big bodies around the ground, but just lacked a bit of fitness thats all. Both sides will push each other all the way for that last finals spot i believe
