So coz he's on the AFL DVD re staging means he plays outside the spirit of the game....yeah ok that makes alot of sense.

The incident that is highlighted on the DVD is exactly what he did again this week. If a player stages for a free, yes they are doing so outside the spirit of the game. so YES it does make sense

So your intial argument was Kane Cornes in particular plays outside the rules and this is based on you, a Crow supporter who saw him stage for a free on the weekend  Cmon you would have had a better argument saying Kane Cornes couldnt kick straight.

Good on Port for doing what it takes to win the game, just like Hawthorn in the 08 GF. Don't blame the clubs, blame the rules they abide by.

Give FS a break, he's just releasing a fortnights worth of frustrations, and who better to receive them than Port Adelaide.

No you are wordsmithing to suit your arguement.

My point was in regards to the "spirit of the game" staging for frees, running stretchers out for uninjured players, even the whole running the ball back for a point from a kick out isnt in the "spirit of the game". And Kane is notorious for stagging for frees and i happen to like the way he goes about the rest of his footy. This exact point was bought up by James Hird last night

What does me being a crows supporter have to do with my arguement?

IM not frustrated GN at all..... i actually enjoy seeing our young fellas take the game on like Cook did in stages last week, watching petrenko come back from being KOed and Dangerfield kicking 5!

More positive signs than negatives, things just need to click a few people back and all will be fine! its only round 2

He was trying to say that my opinion is bias, when infact that contradicts his opinion also as a Port Adelaide supporter.

Wasnt wordsmithing, you clearly were refering to Kane playing outside the spirit of the game based on his appearance in an AFL DVD and an incident you saw on the weekend. Hardly enough for a conviction. The vast majority of players have or will stage or over exagerate for a free kick, not sure why your plucking one out of the wilderness. I could name a few in the Port side that are better at it than Kane.

Might only be Round 2 but the top 4 being so even suggests there might only be 3 games between 1st and 4th and you are already 2 games behind the pace setters.

Means little for finals aspirations but the top 4 will only drop 4 maybe 5 games for the year, so being 0-2 doesnt help much at all.

So when players stage for free kicks dozens of times during a game thats in the spirit of the game? Clubs and players will take advantage when and where they can. What Port did was within the rules of the game and for what its worth i didnt think it affected the result. And im sure Port didnt want Surjan (as a member of the clubs leadership group and a good defensive player) off the ground at that stage of the game either

Its not in the spirit of the game hence the fine system that has been bought in to clamp down on staging.... Kane Cornes in particular!
As for your last sentence well obviously they didnt care because they ran out told him to lay on the ground and carried him off

Unless ive missed something your saying Kane Cornes in particular plays against the spirit of the game...and i think your way out in that regard...But thats only my opinion.

Teams have been doing it for years, hence the 20 minute rule. Port just got caught out with the multiple camera angles.

Nothing will come of it.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

And where was Choco assistant coach?

As stated above, if the loophole is there then it will be used. It was pure Port Adelaide - I just wish they had done it against a Victorian team that would have gone totally ape like Carlton or Collingwood.

Is Pavlich claiming a goal when he missed it by a foot within the spirit of the game, or players claiming they touched a goal, stuff like this happens every game. It was the club doctor who called for the stretcher after Surjan complained he had some tingling down his arm. You don't mess around with back or neck injuries. What about when Shannon Hurn tried to stop the play when he smashed Stewart.

Pathetic comment.

The only thing 'Pure Port Adelaide' about the weekend was winning.

Port has always been number 1 at gamesmanship. John Cahill, David Arnfield. It's a true Port Adelaide tradition.
