Pulteney even without a hound dog, should be good enough against Salisbury West who struggled in trials agaisnt lower grade sides
Fitzroy only cause anything called dolphins should be harpooned!
Salisbury cause luck can only take you so far
Greenacres cause it doesn't matter how many you got sitting on a park bench south is south!

Do you think Westminster were lucky to win a flag and then play off for another and go up 2 divisions in 2 years? I rekon it was because they are a very good football side!
We are a drinking team with a football problem!

Pooraka V Golden Grove - The Game of the round. Lots of quality in both these sides. Golden Grove will be looking to start this season better than they did their last season in Div 4. The addition of Pascoe at probably CHB will add a bit of size and strength that they maybe lacked last year, however Pooraka at home are always hard. Pooraka by 14pts

Pulteney v Salisbury West - Pretty bid exodus of players from Salisbury West.....mostly to Greenacres and it will be tough for Westies to get off the bottom few this year. Pulteney with Perrie roaming the forward line will easily win this one. Pulteney by 30pts

Fitzroy v Unley - Someone on here said the Jets have picked up some good recruits, well they will need them against Fitzroy who despite losing Bourke, have also recruited well adding Mitchell, Burgess and co to their list. Fitzroy 3rd last year.....very tough at home. Lions by 35pts

Salisbury v Westminster - Look forward to seeing these 2 sides as I don't know too much about them. have heard some good reports about Westminster so I will go with them despite it effectively being a Div 3 v Div 5 game (as of last year). Westminster by 6pts

Greenacres v Woodville South - Greenies have recuited well and have added several of Salisbury West's better players to their list plus a few others. On paper they look the side to beat this year but it doesen't always work out that way on the field when you put a whole lot of new paid recruits together. Don't know too much about Woodville South but hear they were unlucky to be relegated last year. Might be a bit of mud out their at the Gaol too with the rain forecast this week. Greenacres by 15pts.

Pooraka v Golden Grove - Get off to a better start than last year.
Pulteney v Salisbury West - SW appear to have lost quite a few
Fitzroy v Unley - Fitzroy at home is always hard
Salisbury v Westminster OS - Div 3 experience over the Div 5 experience 8)
Greenacres v Woodville South - $-)
Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.

Anton Railey sent off in Poorakas last two trial games.
When will he learn?

do you know what he was sent off for. hes doesnt mind spending some time in the bin the big fella

Obviously he aint too 'big' in the cranial region if he keeps getting sent off............. :?

Perhaps you should take that up with him in a week or so!

Perhaps you should pull your head out of your guts Rooster.... I never said he was a tool, nor did I say he can't play the game. I don't know the guy and for what it's worth he could well be a nice bloke off the field. What I intimated was that he obviously doesn't think too well about discipline or the effect him getting sent off has on his team and team mates...

Pooraka v Golden Grove - Have to back us in although I rate Pooraka highly and we haven't played well at Lindblom Park in the past so it'll be a good tester for us.
Pulteney v Salisbury West - Don't know alot about Pulteney but any side with AFL experience within it can do OK. Westies appear decimated so will find 2010 very hard
Fitzroy v Unley - They play the little mound so well out at Fitzroy and will be hard to beat but Unley look to have picked up a few and this should be a tight game
Salisbury v Westminster OS - Only because it's a hell of a drive out to that large deck at Salisbury and it's a difficult oval to play on, and home ground advantage will prevail
Greenacres v Woodville South - I think this will be the game of the round. Greenies are a tough side and add their recruits to the equation and they'll get the points. I know little about the Cats but reports say they will challenge well with a full squad at hand.

I'm sure if you ask anyone from Salisbury mate, they'll tell you that we have a better side this week than what we had last year as well.

And from the outside looking in, losing Rayner, Haniford, Skewes, plus Catters bad back and probably no Taylor means some people may not think you'll be as strong. I'm not saying you'll struggle, but I can see why people may have that opinion.

I actually think that the drop from 3-4 is a big one, and that both Div 3 sides from '09 will play finals in '10.

Skewes is in the leadership group so not sure where you got that info from.
Taylor played well on Wednesday night and the other 2 will be playing at some stage during the year.

Will definitely be an interesting year in div 4.

The main players we were missing that day were Skewes, Taylor, Ames, Eatts, Robson, Hyde, McNeill, Curtis & Kropenyiri

In that list there is our FB, FF a few midfielders and our Ruckman.

All of these are in our best 18.

Portland were very very good though.
