He got a job opportunity too good to refuse. Scott Borlace slotted in to the vacancy after he retired as a player over Christmas.

Umps should have just given Bass a spray back and then everyone could have got on with doing their job, at least he was upfront and said it to their faces by the sound of it! hopefully sanity previals and he will get a slap on the wrist and told to be a good boy.

No, more reffering to Bassett getting reported for abusing an umpire at 3/4 time against South at the Parade last Thursday night...

He has a date with the tribunal tomorrow night and will no doubt only receive a reprimand or fine, but got me thinking what would happen if he got suspended for a game !!?

Aurelio Vidmar would be coaching us (he can't coach in the Asian Champions League atm so is free to help out) while Bass sat in the stand with Budda Hocking and Darren Trevena, (our other Assistant Coaches).

In a blow for Norwood we will be without Hocking and Trevena as the power are also playing on Sat afternoon.

expect the Eagles to win, but it should not be a concern for Bassett who will always have injuries, young list, umpires etc to fall back on as a legitimate excuse as to why his side will be on the bottom of the ladder.

Why not? South have been using those excuses for years.

As for Bassett, he will learn in time it is a waste of time approaching the umpires on anything, let alone giving them a spray. Afterall, it's their game, the players and coaches are only making up the numbers.

Will never happen. Once a sprayer always a sprayer.
I give umpys the odd spray and wondering afterwards why I wasted my energies, then come the next week and havent learnt my lesson.

Yep was announced in the Pre season lights at Thebarton have not been upgraded .They are not up to SANFL standard.
