Rd3 - Sturt v Glenelg @ Unley (Sat 10/4)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Apr 05, 2010 2:25 pm

Having seen the Bays first hand on the weekend, I was impressed with their firepower up forward while the Double Blues are winless so far and don't seem to be playing team football.

I think the Bays will be pumped for this one with the mental scars fresh from the prelim last year, while Sturt will be desperate to get their first win of the year under the belt.

This one is game of the round for me, just in front of Central v West.

My tip - Bays by 4 goal

a real 50/50 game, i tend to think the bays are going better than sturt atm who appear to me to be a few weeks behind the other teams in their preparation.....this is the only reason i think we can win at unley..bays by a kick or two

We have improved our goal kicking, and the team is committed to doing the hard work that comes with playing as a Team. Think I heard we had 50 tackles last round. I'm confident. :)

I'm also looking forward to watching the instant replays on the big screen too

Note to ABC Cameramen - GFC No 1, 26 & 21 are likely to take Hangers, so be prepared ;)

Note to umpires, Numbers 2-20 22-25 and 27-60 are likely to duck their heads and stage for free kicks. ;)

He has a point though, the glenelg 2009 side were the biggest bunch of head duckers to grace a football field.

Bayman, let them worry and talk about 2009, we'll worry about 2010...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Will be interesting to see what reception John Hinge receives from his former team-mates on Saturday at Unley ???

We're a fair bunch ... ask Ryan Willits. ;)

Anyway, you saw how hard the Bays hit the body of the Westies players with the ball last Saturday, so if Hinge can handle that he will be OK. If not, then ...

Yes, I know exactly what you mean...

I also know a few Central players who are very much looking forward to the clash with Sturt on ANZAC Day when a former dual Premiership ruckman returns to the Ponderosa ;)

Message to bayman: See my avatar for metronomic replay.

p.s. if anyone else would like a similar avatar I should be able to make some more, from that game alone. Would you like one bayman?
