I dont think that you can pencil in any teams for finals this year except Centrals.

Of course its "possible", in 1963 South won the wooden spoon and in 1964 won the Premiership, its wasn't the first time it happened in Aussie rules football and certainly will not be the last time it happens for any side under the right circumstances.

For both the Draw in Round One and the win in Round Two, South had to fight it out to regain the lead / draw after letting it go, against Norwood South fought back twice to overhaul a five goal and then a two goal lead to win it, the SAFC side of even last year would struggle to achieve the same result. Without getting to far ahead of myself I do think that there are several more SAFC players that have more in the tank that what we have seen just yet and there is every chance we can and will play better.

I was pretty impressed with South on Thursday night, they would need to continue their improvement to get up among the big boys, which is possible.

I'd think it's probably unlikely, but nonetheless possible.

Their first 10 minutes of the 3rd quarter the other night was just exceptional and I dont think we managed to get the ball forward of the centre circle once in that time.

Their workrate and tackling was excellent, they should surprise quite a few opponents and supporters this season.

This should be in the best jokes thread.

Remember when Jack first coached them and they won 3 of their first four and then lost every game after that. They might pinch 1 more win against Port but then that will be it. Same again!

quite comical for you bays supporters to come on a south thread when you are one of the few teams we have beaten .... and you have been by far the best team for past few years and have NOTHING to show for it

fair go, it was just one (glenelg person--tigers07&beyond) that has showed any disrespect to south, i stated i'll back south with 15 goals in & LBT has stated only central could be guarenteed a finals berth.....south are the only team to beat glenelg at glenelg in the last 25 or 26 matches played at the bay

Pointless thread.....

At the moment I think its a week by week thing with South. All about being more competitive in 2010.

We will se where we are at near the season end.

No expectations. ;)
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!
