How it got made is quite interesting, too.
Director Mark Hartley couldn't get any interest from the funding bodies. So he sent a package to Quentin Tarantino, who personally vouched for the project. Only then did it get funding.
Sad indictment on the local film industry that it won't even preserve its own history.
As an aside, Tarantino dedicated the Sydney premiere of Kill Bill Vol. 2 to 'Ozploitation' director Brian Trenchard-Smith.
The luvvies in the crowd had no idea who he was talking about.
Too busy planning their next snoozefest that costs $5m and nobody sees...

That's the one B-grade turkey from the 10BA era I haven't seen!
Might have to watch this epic instead of Ben-Hur over the Easter long weekend...
