Have already passed the offer onto the captain.
A couple of bottles of Red and a flagon of port should keep him onside. ;)
A few $$$ next time maybe if he can repeat his heroics down the track.

Great contest to watch and call, real contrast of 2 halves from both sides, but well done to the Panthers on the win...

Think they will have a few more victories than perhaps some expected this season, they have a very impressive midfield, led by Cockshell in ruck...

Really like the look of Liddle, Horne, Gotch, O'Keefe and young Whitford, some exciting players for the Panther there no doubt...

Was also impressed with South debutant Kenn Campbell, from Port Elliot/Goolwa, certainly gave some run and carry from defence for the Panthers...

Norwood dissapointing after half time obviously but in trouble with just 1 fit man on the bench. Gives more strength to my argument that the SANFL needs to have 4 on the bench...

Doyle continues to have issues with the body and losing Sam Rowe from attack when helping Dawe out in the ruck ruins the Legs attacking options, made even worse losing Jamie Vlatko pre-season...

The big gorilla Nick McKenna did take the spectacular mark but a Norwood player was CLEARLY pushed in the back amongst the pack McKenna flew over, needless to say still a great mark...

Was really impressed with the new lights at Cooper as well...

Well done Ron Fuller and the Panthers, a great win and enjoyable to watch...

I could write how crap norwood was.

A great fighting win, typified by the final moments which included a couple of desperate smothers to blunt Norwood's final attack.

Seems to be a pretty united and driven group at the moment. Of particular note was how pumped O'Keefe was after he laced out McKenna for what ended up being the match winner. Great to see that from a victorian bloke playing his second game for the club. 8)

Fantastic to see so many South supporters there last night, particularly on the outer wing and at the race after the match.

You could see Norwood going into their shells after half time, resorting to their handball style, and really going nowhere from half back. Just sideways. Having seen South do it and cough up matching winning leads over the past few years, I know how frustrating it can be.

Lastly, the lights were great. :)

Well done ron fuller its amazing if a team can work together, and especially mentally able to cope well under pressure and play instead of dropping your heads and giving up.Maybe this year players had good friday off instead of training as they did last year. :D

As you get older the years start to fly by. To counteract this I might have to move back to Adelaide and attend every Norwood match this season because it's going to be a bloody long winter.

Most of that's correct Jim and congrats on your win, but I'll let you judge your form on waiting for a good win before coming on to condemn opposition supporters.

Ben Warren imho is a great player and I'd more than happily have him at my club, but he was beaten tonight.[/quote]

Beaten ??? what game were you at .... he kicked 4 and pretty much caught everything in the third quarter that came near him ... and if he kicked straight Stopp may as well have walked off with his pants down. Now that he is skipper does he have to kick half a dozen to get a pass mark ???

Thats probably a fair call actually ... I guess I was fearful that he would beat us on his own such is my rating of him, and at the time I thought keeping him to 3 goals was a win for us (and still do tbh).

But just quietly who gives a toss if he gets a "pass mark" from an opposition supporter, as long as he keep performing for your mob why would you really care what anyone else thinks?

I dont care if he gets a pass mark from an opposition supporter... You were the one that said he was beaten on the night. Was just surprised at your views of the battle. six shots on goal from one the better kicks for goal in the comp.

Think most south supporters will be ecstatic if he gets six shots on goal every week for the whole year cause we will get a fair return from him if that happens

Have just read Nathan Bassett was reported for abusive language toward an official, so has to front the tribunal. Not a good weekend for Nathan

You little beauty panthers. Great win sorry I was away and missed it. Niormally a great atmosphere at Norwood under lights. Looks like to group are responding to Ron. I hope it is not similar to a few years back when we won first 3 and drew next 1 and then sacked Johnny Cahill and lost every other game for that year. Please dont let this happen again after a great start. As a long suffering panther man all we ask for is a competive effort and good games to watch. It helps if we win a few along the way as well. Keep up the good work panthers. Treat every game as a big game including North at home in a fortnight. Does anyone know how Daniel Bass is going in ressies. Would be good to see him progress thru seniors and extra man up forward. Good to see UK panther supporting from overseas. Hope panther fans get out more and more and continue to watch some good footy.
