anyone else think the country footy section of the sunday mail was not very well researched? surely most people in this forum would agree renmark and cobby arent a serious threat to the 2010 premiership?

can anyone on here confirm the league have made a change to the points system, where by any new player to a club will attract points and its up to the clubs to protest or challenge the points. eg if the player was a former junior then they are still no points but if the player is a "proffessional" then they will attract points no matter what.

Go to SANFl site, CFL regulations and you will find an example of approved points system as an appendix. Sorry I a little comp illiterate and cant post the link. Anyway by next year most leagues will have this or very similar. Points for players coming in regardless of occupation, residence etc except if a past player (25 senior games) 10 junior games after the age of 13 yrs. They were a tad late bringing this in and I understand some leagues can have this year with modified points rules.

He was in and out of their league side a couple of years ago I think. Remember him playing on a back flank. Think he was at Christies Beach last year. Will be a very handy pick up if true!

Yeah 30-something goals to two I think.
We were pretty undermanned, but Renmark also looked pretty awesome.
Craig Seekamp, Adam Bryant, Russell Menz, Matt Camplin and Trevor Thorpe were the standouts.
Their young fellas played well too.

Andrew Bachman is a hell of a player and providing he settles in well will be an elite player in the RFL. Is regarded as one of the best going around the SFL in a mid-lower table side. Keep an eye on this bloke...
