Can North improve on last week or can Sturt draw enough strength to give North the blues.

Depends on the result if I was being serious or not. Going to be tough after theyve been belted.

crucial game for both teams in their aspirations for a top 3 birth. Round 3 sees Sturt at home to Glenelg and North away to Port, neither these sides would want to be heading into them encounters with no wins on the board.

Quite right.

Has Johncock done his time in the 2's? I see he was named best for them on Saturday...

Herring didn't look that crash hot, so would be good to see Jeremy back in the league team.

From the limited amount i have seen of Herring imo he seems to be the type of player who is only really suited to being the third tall forward. Most times that he has become Sturts main focul point he has really struggled ala last seasons finals once Chambers went down.

I think he is a handy player but does need alot of support from better forwards around him if his to become a long term league footballer.

this year is make or break for herring, he certainly hasnt stepped up as much as we would have hoped...he has his moments but i agree he needs support and also needs to settle down more when he lines up for goal and be more confident in front of the big sticks

why ? :? :?

already an important game for both teams in the context of the season, obviously the loser is either 3 or 4 points behind the top placed team (west or glenelg), therefore a double chance could be blown already

I think he was referring to the fact that you were beaten by MightyEagles when posting previews for round two. Last year, I think you started the preview threads most weeks.

Thanks Dedja.
To me anything could happen in this game, it wouldn't suprise me if either side thrashed the other (well it would suprise me if North thrashed Sturt but the game last at Prossie last year I can still remember well, admittedly Sturt had a very short break).
I reckon this game will give us a better indication of both sides form for the next 2 months than last week.
North have HUGE issues with having a ruckman though with their top 3 ruckman all out injured and Sturt have a bit of depth in this area. To me that's the major issue with this game so I'll tip Sturt by 5-6 goals.
Hopefully North don't drag Sturt down to a defensive flooding slog too much as I enjoy watching Sturt's style of game.
