Seeing Westies are handing out free tickets over the net and you can print as many as you want Im sure there will be a big crowd tonight!

I'd be interested too. It's not worth paying to see the terrible brand of football Westies play, but i'd take a look for free.

Westies have mentioned that they dont care how many free tickets are used as the extra people mean extra catering dollars (hopefully). Would be fantastic to see 10000 people tonight, the club is hoping for 8000

On the free ticket you fill out your name and address and email contact, not a bad way for an SANFL club to build a marketing list!

How does this reconcile with gate revenue sharing arrangements?

If 5000 attend and only 1000 pay, who is covering the costs of the other 4000 "free" tickets" which is gate revenue for the other 8 clubs? (A sponsor? The club? The SANFL?).

I suggested last year that Round 1 should be a free entry night for all games that round, great to see West taking initiative, they may lose out tonight because of this but in the long term i think there will be many people tonight who haven't gone in years but will have such a great night, they'll be back.

We also landed a plunge at Angle Park one Monday Night with "Sargeant Booth" ;)

yeah that was the dog, i'll see jeffs brother tomorrow so i'll let you know exactly what he's up to, last i remember he was down port adelaide way
