Yep, thats all you can ask.

We had 9 new players to the club in the A'Grade so we are still getting used to each other.

B'Grade had 16 on the bench so it was hard for them as they could not settle down at all but the still played very well.

Played 25 in the A'Grade as well and there is still a few to come back in so numbers are good.

Going back to squads of 22 for both grades this week.

Why's that turk? I'll come and watch you two belt the living suitcase out of each other whilst I sip on a cheeky sav blanc.

I did notice last week - nothing but Lion Nathan at Kilburn so I will bring the Coopers chilly bin with me

UNDERthePACK wrote:Can anyone from Fitzroy confirm the rumour I heard that Brett 'Barry' Burgess played in their trial today. If so how did he go and is he a full time fixture down at the Roys this year. Be an extremely handy acquisition to their forward line if he does.

Sorry "underthepack" for late reply only learning this new technology. But i have been a member of the might Roys for a few years now and anything people might want to know about them i will try to answer your questions..

Burgess is playing for us, he was meant to start coaching in the hills but due to work issues had to change that decision and put that on the back burner for a bit, but just speaking with him about football he seems to know alot and have a great football brain. Apparently he was going to be Shayne Mitchells assistant but i have not seen any evidence of this yet. He did play last sat in trial and kicked 5 or 6 i think and look pretty good, be nice to see him fit, but he is at trainings working hard so has the right attitude.. look out for our forward line this year Harty, Mitchell and Burgess..

im also very excited about Sean Buss this year i reckon he is ready to explode, he is just so talented and can turn a game.

I reckon the (Fitzroy) B's might have got up by a few goals.
Good hit out for both sides, pleasant day up there.
Their ground is the polar opposite of Fitzroy's- ours is convex, there's is concave! (and on a slope)
*Barry Burgess would have benefited the most from hit out, playing 7 quarters

as for me and my brother, I had a knee recon 3 weeks ago so wont be playing in 2010 and my bro went down in the first trial with a knee, believe it isnt as serious as mine, he see's the surgeon this friday, B's def gonna do better with the increased depth of new blokes out at the club, our best chance was still 2008 when we lost to you by 1pt!!
You coaching again?? how you guys looking??

Mate bloody hard watching with injuries & rather be having a kick so feel for ya, Thunder Train minus the 2 x Fisty's big losses there but the bar will be doing a roaring trade this year down old Riverside ;)
With Punk Rooter now focusing hard on his playing career ive got the job of magnet mover this season :?
Yeah sounds like we similar to your boys with the increased depth which will filter across all grades & with all the trial games out the way the boys cant wait for the season to kick off now :)
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

Greenies played Kiburn yesterday

Both our teams got over the line without to many problems.

Kilburn looked to have a very young squad and have some pace but think it will be a tough year for Bomber and his charges.
