Not necessarily.
If someone is identified as under-producing, not meeting KPIs, not toeing the company line, or causing more problems than they're are solving, I believe it's better to get rid of them early on and not drag things out.

IF (and I stress IF) this is the case it's better its done now than later.
I truly don't know any more than anyone else here, but I have total trust in Gary Metcalf and his Board to do the right thing by our club.

Yeah your right. What better timing than 2 days before the start of a new season. Surely you don't believe your own bs?

Yeah actually I do
Better to do it now than putting up with a below par employee who can effect other staff responsiblities and stuff up expected club outcomes for the season

pretty gusty decision by the board considering he was probably still in the honeymoon period, but thats the life of a CEO, you have to live and die by your performance...

Gutsy decision - maybe so, but even the South Board have made gutsy sackings. More importantly, the Board need to take responsibility for putting the right person (ala Fuller at last) so they don't need to make gutsy sackings. Hope they find a good replacement soon, otherwise the club could be staring at a pretty big black hole financially, following what has clearly been a disasterous appointment.

By sacking a bloke 12 months into a job Id say the board is admitting they appointed the wrong person, appointing a CEO isnt an exact science, the easy thing to do would have been to give him more time...

With the off-season departures of Fisher, Hall, Duldig, McConnell, Backwell and now CEO, Stephen Barratt, one could almost say the Gliderol Door is becoming "unHinged". But then, he's left as well.

I disagree, Bayman. Gliderol are known for their roller doors which don't have hinges.

Oh, hang on, Glenelg don't have Hinge either. My mistake.
