this year however he will get delivery from some of the best midfielders in the comp, hardly something he has got over the years at the swans

Higgins, Cooney and Boyd yeah but Cross? Griffen? Ward? Yet another area of their team that is overrated.

And why wouldn't we? Despite the fact that they have been seriously average since the early nineties they still bloody beat us. We might as well have The Professor in the coaches box when we play them in September as the result is just the same.....

Cross is the new Scotty West, handpass only please... Ward is still very green, in his third season this year, he'll be a gun towards the end of this year early next. Griffen i rate highly but delivery isn't quite as accurate as the others.

what about Aker, Gilbee breaking the lines, Gia...

I don't rate Griffen at all. He wastes the ball a lot and runs around like a headless chook at times and the commentators fall over themselves praising the guy. As for Aker, Gia and Gilbee I thought we were talking about guys who would be kicking it to Hall regularly. Aker will be down there with Hall and trying to kick goals around corners like Brad Johnson and Gia is a bit of a floater while Gilbee will probably be down back once again.

The good thing about Hall going to the Dogs is now Taylor has a natural match up for when we play them with Scarlo to go on to him if he does get away from Hank. It is because they've had no gorillas up front that they've troubled us in the past with guys like Johnson, Aker, Murphy and even Scotty Welsh giving us match up problems. How many of that lot are going to improve this year? Perhaps Scotty Welsh ha ha.

apparently Murph has had his best preseason in a while. Aker and Johno don't need to get much better, all Hall is going to do is give us a focal point in the square so if we can't hit a lead then long to the square can actually work for us. Baz can create the contest and give our crumbing forwards a chance. before if we bombed in long the defence would have a relatively easy mark and then reload on us.

granted the other forwards won't be delivering to Baz all that often but beyond the arc they would still hit him...

Your boys looked pretty sharp on Friday nuggetty. They still praised Griffen though even after two hideous clangers! Hall looked like a young kid out there but Hawthorn still don't have anyone for the gorillas.

How the hell are the Hawks going to finish above St Kilda, Collingwood, Geelong and Brisbane with no Rucks, no one capabale of handling Gorilla forwards and with half their midfield missing?

They were ninth last year for a reason and after playing Melbourne this week they've then got Geelong, Western Bulldogs and Collingwood.
