I've heard there's a bit of angst around Lobey at the moment between senior coach and club. Apparently while being on a two year deal (2006-2007) he has applied for the North U19 coaching gig and told NA that he would walk out on Lobey tomorrow if he was offered that job or a better one!!

heard that blackwood have signed james begley matt golding and some other players with league experience must be spending a heap. wonder how the salary cap is going. looks like they are trying to pagey a flag will be interested to see how he goes had a good side a couple of years ago and did nothing with them can he coach? maybe the $$ will change that

Begley will be a great pickup for name factor but I would bet that if he's only up there to collect a cheque, he may turn out to be next years Trent Ormond Allen.

I've read in a Mt Gambier newspaper, that Matthew Kluzek (ex Adelaide Crows player, also WWT) who has most recently played in Western Border League has signed to play for Bridgewater, but wont be playing til around May/June when he gets back from overseas. I presume this source is correct.

Someone told me Wendleborn at Ironbank might be returning to Imperials

How did Wendleborn go this season? I know he had hoped to go back and try out at West Adelaide at some stage at least that was his plan a couple of seasons ago.

Only going by what i read on here but i think he had a great first year at Ironbank (in a struggling side). I saw him play a few games when i watched a few Tailem Bend games in the RMFL, few years ago, was quite inconsistent, but when he had a good game, played very well.

Is he still playing as a Full Forward?

yes they were talking to him and was aware he was coming to bridgewater but don't no yet if he has signed!

ran into joel brown sat and he confirmed he is playing down at athelston next year. mainly due to fact he lives down there and majority of his mates play for athelstone. money wasn't the deciding factor!

I would have thought that would have been fairly close to what he would have been getting at the Shoes?
