How many?

Postby whufc » Tue Mar 23, 2010 12:21 pm

My question is last season 2009 how many goals did midfield players kick from each side, what i really want is just the best three/ four midfielders at each club and there goal scoring tally for the year.

I am anticipating that if I gave the top midfielder goalkickers I would end up with half a dozen or more posts telling me this player is a half forward player; or someone else is actually a midfielder. So rather than debate about it, I have the top 10 goalkickers for each club so everyone can decide who is what.

Interesting that for a so-called physical side, more of the Dogs goal kickers were smaller mean (although Havelberg would have finished higher up without injury), and for a sm-called running side, the top three goal kickers at Sturt were bigger blokes.

Sansbury's 35 goals for the Dogs is low, how does this compare with other permiers?

There are no other premiers ;)
Seriously though, good pick up by you there regarding smaller goal kickers for Central and taller ones for Sturt.
Good spread by the Dogs too, having 10 or so kick moire then 20 goals which I think shows why they are dominant. They would have 4 or 5 of those kick a couple per game and if a couple of them are off their game then the others step up.
When you have a big forward line like Sturt, if a couple of them have an off day then you have to rely on too few to get the job done.

Yeah i still think the difference between Centrak and the rest is the Dogs have not only found midfielders who are capable ball winners, have a defensive mind but the fact they have the ability to kick goals, this makes the whole side so much more versatile.

It may sound arrogant but i really think thats Central point of difference as i truly belive most other sides match Centrals in alot of other areas.
