Very even comps, probably the depth that gets the RMFL over the line. Nothing between the top 6-8 players at each club

agreed, both sides gunning for September action, from what I saw Mannum will be right up there, excellent pressure - Chris Hall surely early season medal favourite

Will be the best big man in the RMFL by daylight

I doubt he will be the best big man considering he is a midfielder :)

Definitely should be the early medal favourite though.

I take it he (Chris Hall) played fairly well then? Being a Panther's fan I'm more than aware of what he's capable of, so it's quite scary to think of what he'll be capable of at country footy level.

Another poster on Riverland thread stated he thought Hally stood out. I'd expect once the adjustment is made between standard of state league level to that of the country he'll produce some v good performances.

Tailem A grade beaten by Peake (finished bottom in the Mallee for something like the last 7 years) 8 goals to 4

Wait for the excuses  He didn't play, we tried blokes in different positions etc etc...

Was at the game and pretty shocked by the result. Tailem didn't really seem interested. They had almost a full side, minus Hogarth and recruit Cooper.

But I noticed Mitch Vickers, Patt Gabb, Daniel Gregory, new lad Dane Winra, Laurie Rankine was at FF... so they had most of their big names. They really just looked flat. The game was scrappy and not pretty to watch. Not an ideal start for Tailem. Peake were much more hungry.

Was interested to see Rick Burling and Ryan McArdle being 2 of the best for Peake in the A grade, yet they played B grade for Tailem last year.

Ric Berling played more A grade games for Tailem last season then B grade games.
Noted that Cheesy was also missing, rolled his ankle before the game started. :D

Any word on weather Andrew's injury is serious? Not what Tailem needs right now.

Peake would be on a high right now, all the best to them.

Not good signs for Tailem as far ar being competitive this season is concerned. A couple of questions - where is Michael Sumner playing this year? Also, is Hogarth likely to be ready for round 1?

Solid hitout for Meningie at Tintinara saturday winning the B's by plenty and getting up in the A's by 8 points over a competitive BDT. Off to Myponga next week.

Imps had a good hit out in very hot conditions at Waikerie on the weekend, played a 6 quarter game and got up by 9 points. No Wait or Luke Harrowfield as both involved in cricket finals. Will be the same again this Sunday - playing Mt Barker at Cornerstone College.

Imps look to be going along nicely, even at this early stage of the year. It really is going to take something pretty special to knock them off

Big chance for another Imps/Mannum grand final, even looking at it this early on.

Ramblers/Meningie fighting for 3rd spot.

Mypo/Tailem/Jervois fighting for 5th spot, i think Mypo are favourites.

Totally agree GWW...It goes to show how a team can go backwards (Jervois) in a matter of a couple of years and a team can improve in a couple of years (Mannum)
