Just witnessed one of the best comebacks in a game of cricket. Well done Rowe... I mean Glenelg!

Oh trademark - you sorry excuse for a cricket supporter. Suggest you look very closely at the umpires report from the match and then comment about behaviour. May well be that the section 4 side from Sheidow - stacked with Grade players - will be without some key players for the grand final after reports are heard. Have it on very good authority that the only players cited were from Sheidow - perhaps that club needs to learn the lesson on how to be gracious in victory - even if they have to use players who should be playing higher to get there! Then again, sportsmanship and Sheidow do only have the 1st letter in common!

If Sheidow Park players were the only ones cited then the umpires were not at the same game I was watching.

I am not going to defend any comments made on the ground, I was not out there to hear them. But at the end of the day, that is for the umpires and players only to know, not for you to go sprouting to everyone! I would be more concerned with the conduct of one of your own players than sounding like sour grapes with your comments. For a player to physically abuse an opposition player by pushing him to the ground when attempting to shake hands is not gracious or sportsman-like. For the follow-up comment including "... you fat c***" to a supporter for all around the ground to hear is also not sportsman-like. There may be a history between those involved in the incident, but it does not mean that what occurred can be excused nor should it be accepted.

When you go watch another game, and umpires turn up after their games, it does not bode well when they all know about "the incident" that occurred at MPCC.

Not to mention chucking a tantrum when getting given LBW and throwing your bat and gloves multiple times. Sledging is sledging out on the field and that's just cricket. Physically abusing players isn't

yeh outstanding win by the sheidow boys today defending 70ish showed alot of character! both sides bowled extremely well but sheidow were the better side on the day and its a shame that a couple of morphies individuals couldnt control there emotions a little better. as said by minotaur it is disapointing to go to another game and hear the umpires all knowing about a teams carry on during/after a loss

We then then lost 4/5 to be 4/29, and then Benny Mac made a quick fire 33 until he was out and we were 5/66. Russell King and Mark Whenan then put on 92 for the 6th wicket until Mark was out for a well deserved 69. WYC ended up all out for 185, with Russell King making a slow-to-start but damn good 35 with some attacking shots at the end of his innings.

We had 3 overs to bowl to Glenelg, with Stef Basso, after opening every innings this year, hiding himself and not padding up to face the first ball. Robbie struck with a LBW, absolutely plum, on the first ball of the innings.

Scores at end of day 1:

WYC 185 v ANA 1/2

Well batted Bloods got your team out of a hole there. Now you have to back it up with the ball, getting an early 1 helps. Bass no where to be seen CK? you'll just have to get him out early today then

Depends when he comes out though TDN!! Hopefully we get 3 early ones, with Basso and Rowe 2 of those. Will be a very hard fought day of cricket thats for sure.

Bloods toe should be alrite, although last night it was pretty big (even big for him aswell) ;)

Come on the centres. lets get 2 sides in the GF

I guess it don't matter now, well done ANA a great win

Coro beat Keswick. Coro v Glenelg GF. I'd reckon that would be the match up Coro would have been hoping for. Amazing the two best teams IMO arn't in the final.

What the ruling on player qualifications.

i.e. A club has a team in Section 1 and Section 2 semi's. Can a player thats played every game this season in section 1, then play the semi final in section 2?

Congrats to Coro & Glenelg going through to the GF along with all other teams in the various sections.

I'd be interested if anyone has the stats on when the last time the 3rd and 4th placed teams in section 1 went through - anyone know?

I saw a fair bit of the Glenelg/WYC game except for the end sadly. Absolute roller coaster of a ride throughout it seems!

GARETH BRUCE!!!! IMO is one of the best players in the association...

all year he has been getting it done with the new pill taking 28wkts at 16.5 and yesterday shown what chasing a small total in a final is all about making 28 runs off 114 deliveries showing courage and determination in wearing down the opposition and giving his side the best chance of winning a sec1 grand final.

fantastic year Brucey and i hope you get a premiership Sunday and a well deserved Hewitt Medal in a few weeks...

Not sure if this was the last time Roseboy but WYC beat Morphys around 5 years ago, after we finished 3rd and got to host the final.

Even though we lost this game to Glenelg ANA (still yet to beat them in finals), we gave it damn good crack, and it was a great game to be involved in thats for sure. I would think that both sides deserved to win the game, but the better side won on the day and the difference was simply Daniel Rowe. 5 fa bugger all and 82 not out, when your side is 7/47 is an amazing effort.
He was near chanceless, we missed two run outs to get him out, and if there was a more agile fielder, he may have been caught off bloods when he skied oneball. But it didnt happen and he was a the star of the game.

And damn O'Malley done it again to us this year, the bloke just always seems to make runs.

Even though its against the trend in finals, i think whoever gets to bowl first will win, simply because both batting sides are inferior to the bowlers on each side. Big game for Joshy Lourens against his old club aswell!!

Congratulations to all sides that made the final, well done to the C grade who go through to the GF after looking down and out at one stage on Sunday!

yeah looks like stacking the B grade dosen't always work. Something to look at next year maybe with us finishing bottom and the B's making the finals.....
