 :axe: =)) =))

The late mail is that you are on the move anyway WIW24. So why would you be so worried about what someone from Goolwa is saying.
Or are you just getting yourself prepared for that Pt Elliott/ Goolwa rivalry for the 2011 season.

Must be the true Red & Black blood in the veins.

Geez life without the great JI & BW. How will Mclarens cope.

The best two teams made it in A's and it will be the best game of the year... Quality individual cricketers in both squads. On turf Bays but it aint so sharks prems 2009/10. Schofield the key secret batting weapon!

Haha! Some funny stuff there guys! My money is on WIW winning that argument. Having checked out MyCricket to find out who Damian is I realised I was present when he made his 12. Swiped a couple of good ones across the line, hardly a scintillating knock ..... but having made a duck that game I'm not going to sledge it!

On to proper cricket talk .... any tips for the weekend's GF?

Six weeks ago I would have put my left nut on the Bays winning it, but I'm not too sure now! They have the best bowling line-up by far, but with Bryce in such good form it may not matter. Guys like Lishy, Rohsa, Inglis and Boyde are all capable of staying with him/making runs. Bays also have some good bats with no real standout, but seem to be prone to collapses from time to time. I'm certainly not brave enough to pick either way!

From what i've seen in the last 24 hours, WIW24 could well make the track team for London 2012!! showed some genuine pace in the MDCC Sprint Handicap...

Encounter Bay will win... Too much strike power and pace from Butler as it showed in the Semi... From all reports was extremely unlucky not to have a hat-trick in his first over back, not a bad effort!!!

Congrats to our boys on the C2 premiership and good luck to all the teams in the GF's this weekend!!!

Butlers first wicket was a dead ball as it hit the middle of the pitch. The umpire stated later that night that he was too scared to call a dead ball in case of being hit from behind.

Well well the two best teams over the year have deservedly made the grand final and will be an absolute cracker!

Did pop into pt elliot over the couple days of the weekends game and Aldinga were the deserved winners,Mclaren did drop a couple catchers which are normally taken and by the sound of it one was Bryce Garrard and wow was that costly!

I think the sledging on the forum gets out of hand to many times and people have to learn that if that is all they wanna do on here is cause trouble well piss off!! WIW24 is obviously a lil heated after the comments but he has the right to feel that, McLaren made the preliminary final from being rock bottom after 4 rounds, that is a very good effort and are a young team who will only learn from the poor form in the finals, however dnt forget that they did win back to back grand finals only a couple of years ago with a pretty similar side so are probably not the side who deserve to be sledged!

Goodluck to both sides on the weekend it will be a cracker, my bias view may come in here and say Enc Bay should win with a bit more firepower in their bowling attack and more overall batting power, if they can get Bryce early like the last encounter well then can the rest of the batting order perform again! Will be looking forward to popping in and catching some of the action!

Thanks for a bit of support Lukeman, I was probably getting a little carried away but I was just pissed from yesterday and having guys that dont have any respect for a few of the veterans and are really A Grade NOBODIES, coming on saying that we are a one man team, ya gotta be kidding me.

Hope to seeya on the field next year Damien, if ya get an A grade game that is...

Good luck to both teams on weekend, both teams with great blokes should be a cracker hope to get a look sunday and have a few quiet ones with some chaps if ya there.

Rain delayed the start of the game but that was about it. Umpires handled the situation perfectly IMO.
Pt. Elliot boys produced another top notch effort in an amazing oval to play on. The cricket heart that is shown week in week out by those boys is the best going around. They change the matting in between juniors and seniors, even waiting for the umpires to give them the all clear before going ahead and putting them out so the rain had as little effect as possible. Hat's off to you boys.

Bay's were the best team all year finishing as minor premiers, winning the Semi to go straight into the Grandy and deservedly went home as Premiers. Modra proved to be the difference between the 2 sides with his willow showing the way on Saturday. Bays would almost have been bowled out for 100/120 without him (wouldn't every team love to have someone as skilled as him to just Qualify to make the finals). Cam (Chopper does love you) Lintern, Chris (Umpires friend) Butler, Tony (Adam Saliba) Modra, Adam (Ferret) Moller, Richie (Rich) Overall, David (Golden Duck) Allen, Wade (Handsome) Foggo, Ryan (Rhino) Edwards, Jason (Travis's mate) Parry, Jason (have another) Beveridge & Jake (Wang Wang) Grenfell, Well Done boys.

Aldinga boys can hold there heads high. Wooden spooners to playing in the Grand Final the next year says alot about the young guns down there. Hopefully Some of the more experienced players like Bryce Garrard, Sean Parkinson, Brad Wood & Paul Ingles now can look forward to what the next few years can bring. With Rosa Garrard, Matty Fran, Jake Stangas, Rob Lish & the the schofield brothers, the future looks bright.

Once again congrats to Encounter Bay you boys were the best team all year.

Rain obviously didn't play too much of a part with Moller taking five. I'd imagine bowling leggies in the rain would be quite difficult!

Congratulations to Encounter Bay. A well deserved premiership. I didn't get down to watch but it looks like it was a great contest with a few twists and turns. Overall a great season all round in the A's. Would have to be the most competitive and close year the comp has seen with 7 sides in contention to make finals late on the final day of the minor round. Perhaps next year we can get to play everyone twice.

Also congratulations to the other premiers this year. McLarens in a thriller over Willunga in the B's. A bit of redemption for them after losing in the GF last year. And the ever youthful Pongy in the C's even though it was washed out (would've got home anyway you'd think).

Congrats to everyone for a good season and i look forward to next year!
