Played on it Saturday and yes it was hot. Surface is as good as most at this time of the year. Great ground to play on (My favorite), is the 2nd biggesst ground (Square metres) in SA behind Hamra Homes Oval. Same dimensions at AAMI and Noarlunga (Apparently) but the boundaries at St.Marys are closer to the fence.

I would hate having to play there all the time
I knew it was one of the biggest or something like that

I actually prefer playing on bigger grounds each week, or actual 'football ovals' rather than some of the tripe we'll have to play on this yr- Brahma, Hope Valley, Plympton etc. Always find it frustrating playing on postage stamps.

Im different
prefer to play on smaller ovals
some times they can be too small but smaller oval means its in close and makes for a tougher contest most of the time
guess everyone has there prefrences

i also would prefer to play on big grounds if a was fit and not lazy, but blokes like fisty and myself are reasonably lazy and unfit so that contributes big time to us disliking big grounds :D

I was always lead to believe that Snowtown Oval was the biggest in the state.

Never played on Brahma, but always loved playing on Plympton and HV's ovals. No cheap kicks to be had at those grounds.

Not a bad hit out first up, we gave them a couple easy goals in the first qtr from our mistakes.
But they controlled the centre for most of the game and found space a lot more than we did.
We played better in the second qtr and a lot in the last qtr.

We have a few things to work on and need to have a couple more runs to get used to each other (9 new players in the starting 18).

Probably went into the game too top heavy as a few of our on ballers were not available and played 7 on the bench which meant we were making changes all the time so we could not really get settled. (definitely will not be taking 7 on the bench into this weeks game)

Couple of the new lads done some very good things so that was definitely promising.
