I was having a joke with Gozu, so the answer is yes, you are biased.

Sad to see her go, she has worked hard for her electorate.
However, it seems the foibles of the Labor connection have hit her hard.
I don't think she lost because of being a bad member but more because it was a protest vote.

Who will be the water minister? Who do our local people turn to now.
Looking at the spread of seats, Labor's retained a mostly city situation.
Caica, given he's the Ag Minister (which crosses into water a little), could be the man.
However, I believe that Karlene's loss is going to have a massive impact on politics in this region and that will play havoc for a while to come locally.

I'm predicting you are a teacher.
I personally know a few who are also gloating over this loss.

I say this not having any real understanding of the Riverlands needs. I feel that ousting Maywald is gonna hurt the Riverland badly. They're voice is going to be sitting on an opposition backbench i bet ya. Would've payed off if they got hold of government, but in essence their protest vote has backfired.Dogwatcher wrote:Given it seems the election is over, I can say a little more on Maywald.

Why did it have to wait until after the election?

Due to my employment, I was not keen to say anything on here in the past year that may call my professionalism into question.
It has been a tight and at times nasty election campaign that has been waged a lot longer than many of the others across the state.
