hehehe. The boys are pretty happy as u can imagine, but they aren't getting ahead of themselves, they know there is still a lot of improvement and more cohesion to come. I think Matty G does a good job putting the game in perspective afterwards. They know the real stuff is what counts.

1 more hitout against Salisbury on either Saturday or Sunday depending on the cricket.

heres a question for you posters to answer, as a beff person am a little worried that 3 home trials may not be the best preparation for a first round against perennial top of the table team and benchmark plympton at their own dungheap , maybe having the last trial away at salisbury would be a better preparation

Players wear a club shirt and slacks on game day in both grades but no tie, last year for a couple of the more southern away games a bus was used.

its so hard to do with not knowing anything about rosewater or the blacks and heccies knocking us off to have them lower than us but i think they dont mind finishing 4th or 5th..

i cant pick a winner because finals is a different game as a found out first hand, injuries change a lot of things, structure and line-up, you follower duncs...

Another one to add to the list of people that dont rate us. Then again you dont know much about us so i guess it gives us the chance to surprise you.

i think its more to do with people not knowing enough about havens than anything else,as you said..

if you guys and heccies are very competitive its going to be a fantastic winter to watch..

in regards to efc..they werent that far away at times last year and have gained many new players this year..so they will be right up there as the team to beat with alfc

I guess we'll find out round 1 as to where everyone is at. Looks like it gonna be a good comp this year can't wait to round 1. I do think EFC will do well same with adelaide lutheran

Some really great passages of play, good signs from a nearly full strength side 2-3 to come in id say.

Personal Highlights:
Darryl Cotter in defense reading the play like a book
Boozehound with an extremely lazy 8.5 =D>

Didnt see the Reserves but told Choccies side took the choccies! excuse the pun :p

Cs scrapped together a side 30 mins b4 game, with half side Under 16s, i thought played well against an experienced unit like GG. But GG won easily. I contributed nothing! :? 8)

 Thought it would of been closer than that? were GG at full strength duncs?

NH v Greenacres today at greenacres. Thanks you to all the boys from Greenies for the game. They won buy maybe a 5 goal margin? Maybe less? Very happy with how we played today showed some excellent signs. Had some more structure about ourselves this game with OB coaching after being away on work last thursday. There was some niggle through out the game with one of their guys being sent off after a scuffle. The gound we played on was in excellent condition one of the better surfaces where going to play on this year i think.

I watched Lutherans v CBC today - Lutherans are flying well under the radar.

They were very competitive against the form D3 side last year although CBC did split their A & B sides over the 6 quarters

Barring injuries, I think they are going to be up there this year

Note to Andrew Zobel - give the CHF (No 21 I think) a try in the ruck - looked lost today but has a leap on him

 what happened with their A's then? I know it's a trial but i thought it would be closer as GG is one of the more highly rated teams in D4 this year, i rate them highly. Apprantly that doesn't matter.

I think the blokes from Hope Valley would want to pull their fingers out or they could be in for a very long year! Looked lazy and reckless against Ingle Farm today. Look to have some very promising players and ability though,.
