They looked to be coming home with a wet sail but a few silly turnovers lead to North goals which should have been NT scoring opportunities.
In the end I thought that the NT side had a lot of raw talent but North's composure under pressure and their team disipline was the difference on the day.
Well half correct except we came home with the wet sail. In the end our fitness, size and strength coupled with the fact we got used to the humid conditions and slippery ball and nulified the NT's pace saw us win the game comfortably (which we always looked likely to do).
As for raw talent - the NT had a lot of experienced players: Darryl White, Ben AhMat (Darwin), Iggy Vallejo, Heath Culpitt, Scott Chisholm, Jarred & Cameron Ilett, Shannon Rusca, Ashley Wedding (Sthn Districts) and Peter Shepherd (Palmerston) just to mention a few familiar to SA footy fans.
Also the NT were in the last third of their season and match fit to the conditions v. North who were in pre-season mode. We also played a number of new players to the club in that match: Howard, Schubert, O'Hara, Weatherly, Walker, Alleway to name the big names plus Hargy having his first run ever in defence, so it did take some time in the match for us to gel.
Hate to dampen your obvious point re your posts that we were lucky to win as you make out that the NT lost it?

I thought that North were the better team mainly because they had been playing in a better comp ( and the NT squad lacked a couple of quality big men). The point that I was trying to make was that after playing for a season in the QAFL it will be interesting to see if the NT has improved and could be considered as a serious option for the SANFL some time in the future.
