How's Mourinho. In all games he's managed at Stamford Bridge, he's only lost once. That's phenominal. What a stupid, ridiculous, idiodic decision to sack him.

It's great to see Chelski go out. They are such a class-less bunch of scummers. Why carry on like such girls, whinging at the refs and moaning and throwing the arms about. Chelski had their chances - PLENTY of chances and didn't take them. Only have themselves to blame.

It was poetic justice seeing Drogba get sent off. The number of times he's arched his back, thrown himself down and rolled around 5 times like he's on a 45 degree slope, this was magic seeing him on the receiving end - and he hated it. That's what is feels like Didier. Don't do it!! (LMAO at Motta though!! Was it really necessary to make that 8th roll?)

The planets are lining up for an Inter - Barca final. Here's hoping!

correct it was stupid thing to do sacking Jose Mourhino.

The guy oviously has the right mind for managing a football club.

When Wenger retires....Jose will arrive at the emirates

Chelsea are always such good sports when they lose, they bring the criticisms on themselves

Barca through in a canter. They are unreal. Messi put on a clinic and could have had 4 or 5 goals. Both his goals were screamers.

Bordeaux also through with a 2-1 home win over Olympiacos.

Last 8 will be interesting. I hope the real big guns avoid each other until the last 4.

Bayern > Arsenal

Nah, in all seriousness, seeing something like Arsenal v Barca and Man U v Inter in the Semis would be awesome.

The draw is Friday 12:00 Central European Time. The first leg of the Quarter finals will be March 30/31 with the return on the following week April 6/7.

Here's hoping for something like:

FC Barcelona v Bordeaux
Arsenal FC v FC Bayern München
Inter Milan v Olympique Lyonnais
Manchester United v CSKA Moskva

I wouldn't mind drawing CSKA even though the away leg would be tough. Some fans from Liverpool etc would probably have a whinge (not talking about anyone from here) about us getting a soft draw again. I read a comment like that earlier, they seem to ignore the fact we got Milan this year but last year it was Inter and Arsenal. No games are really that easy. A strong semi final series would be brilliant though.

Na I would rather some of the big teams drawing each other and giving a chance for Bordeaux ,Lyon or CSKA Moskva to make the final and hope an underdog can win it a la Porto a few years ago.

Porto were hardly underdogs though. They did have a brilliant team:

Vítor Baía, Nuno Valente, Ricardo Carvalho, Jorge Costa(c), Paulo Ferreira, Costinha, Maniche, Pedro Mendes, Deco (Pedro Emanuel), Derlei (Benni McCarthy), and Carlos Alberto (Dmitri Alenichev).

Agree with your point though, if an underdog has to get through, I'd like to see Laurant Blanc's Bordeaux side do it.

The draw for the quarter finals is in.
We have:

man utd v bayern Munich
arsenal v Barcelona
Lyon v Bordeaux
inter v cska

so a couple of past final replays and a local challenge between the frenchies. Very exciting draw wth barca v arsenal. I'd expect the final 4 to be man u, barca, inter and Bordeaux. Can't wait!!

Old men like Neville shouldn't be starting in a Champions League match.

Stupid handball by him.

Crap defending by Evra in the last minute as well.

Need a better performance at Old Trafford if we are to progress.

Do you rate Evra RM? He seems to be very highly rated by just about everyone, but I can't see what all the fuss is about.

He seems to have pace, but that's about it. He's a sloppy defender and his crossing when he gets forward is average at best. All IMO, but I just can't see what the hype is with him?

Yes Evra is quality and is one of our most important players.

He adds a lot of drive from the back, but these days a lot of full backs are average defenders even though I have seen far worse than him.

I agree he adds drive by getting forward a bit, but the quality he provides when he gets forward is just not there IMO.

He can't cross and he can't get past defenders himself.

IMO - Cashley, Clichy and Bale are all better than Evra.
