It makes a difference because you guys didn't finish top...

You guys finished higher than Porties, therefore having home ground advantage...

They have a little play ground near the tennis courts.

Ok well, why does it make any difference to when Reynella held the Grand Final for 15 years???? Porties oval might be great, but as for the rest. There are No Facilities, the families can't even relax and enjoy the game as the kids have no where to run (Except on the Road). No Grass to even let the littlies play on a rug

Yes I know (completely away from the game), but what about the ones that like to have a hit of cricket or kick a footy??

Association presentations, perhaps...

At least people can sit in their cars and watch the game at Porties unlike Cove...

Ok well you obviously don't have a family. Cause it would be so good to sit in a car all day, especially with kids. It's ok for footy when it is wet, but we are going to the cricket.

Must admit Cove was just about my least like ground as far as playing at or viewing sports goes. I always assumed it got important games based upon the surface alone.

This home ground advantage thing is crap!!! We are playing cricket on hard wicket not turf everyone knows how it plays it should be at Cove for obvious reasons. What about last year when Porties finished top after the minor round but had to play Cove at Cove in the 1st final and GF, I suppose it was just easier to have neutral grounds this year so we don't have to put up with Noarlunga's whinging!!

from a players point of view i want to play cricket on the best ground with the best run ups and that is Cove by a fukn long shot it seems to me that this association is too easily swayed in the direction of certain clubs the whole flagstaff hill incident is a disgrace and they should have been booted out immediately it is blatant cheating to name a guy who is in no way playing. I bet if Porties had of won and were playing in the grand final against Noarlunga then Noarlunga would have wanted it at Cove and it would have been there. To me it shows a sign of weakness from the shoes they are scared to play cove at cove clearly

I'm not suprised at all by Noarlunga having a whinge about the ground. Doesn't everyone know the whole association revolves around the shoes. If their as good as they all like to say they are, surely they can beat anyone, anywhere. What better to do it on the best oval in the comp.

Why is it the only people whinging on the forum about the ground are all Cove people ?????

Is it you who are too scared to play a final outside your backyard ????

The association executive committee made the decision to play all finals at neutral grounds so no one club could whinge about having to play at a opponents home ground.

And good to see the Cove boys make an appearance at the association presentations tonight too , Great to see them support the association. Disgraceful.
