You dont spring surprises on other clubs come September.I also think the short pre-seasons of Bock,Porplizia and van Berlo ( if he gets back ) will take its toll by the end of the year and without Bock and Porplyzia flying they cant win it.
I think a Prelim is within reach but would expect St.Kilda, Geelong or the Bulldogs to account for them when it counts most.

Yep, I'm pretty much the same on the Blackbirds. Which is good because then I can razz up Gingernuts about Professor Craig's failed September experiment when in reality, he has done as well as can be expected with the current list over the last couple of seasons anyway. Their chance was in 2005 and 2006 but the Eagles got in the way.

The crows are looking to emulate the cats of the 90s and then hopefully next decade they can emulate the cats of this decade!

Collingwood are ahead of Hawthorn and I reckon we are on par or slightly behind the Pies.
I think the Bulldogs are beatable depending on the respective teams on the day. It's the Saints and Geelong that I think are clearly ahead of us.
The other factor is the the Crows have one of the easier draws out of all the teams, especially early.
Carey, who's your 1-7 if the Crows are 8th?

it sure is, i think Collingwood will improve with Jolly and Ball but i think the crows will improve as well. Sticks Kernahan believes that Tippett will become the best Big Forward in The AFL in the next two years, so if thats the case they will be hard to beat.
and i think games between the crows and Collingwood will be 2 goal games.

The Crows will improve with what pick ups?
Jolly & Ball are huge additions to the Pies.
The Crows will be relying 2 much on the Goodwins, Mcleods, Edwards & Burtons.
Are the young ones ready to stand up & cover for these blokes?
