I'll take note and look out for him, heard he's a bit of a fitness freak. bit to early to call him the 2010 div 5 medalist still plenty of football to be played til thats decided

the dark knight trust me joss will perform alot better than he did tonigh during the year.

who was 18 for you blokes tonight? had green shorts on.
also one of the key forwards looked ok

Yeah,Joss kind of eased into it like everyone else. not sure when he came on, did he play down back for a while? cause i played back and the only time i saw him was in the last quarter when i went in the middle for a bit he did show some signs though as did everyone on either sides through out the night in their first match fo the season

Thank You very much anyway to all the smithfield boys for the game, it was played in the right sprit and everyone was better for the run. Smithfield looked good while we were everywhere with everyone gettin a good run of it during some stage. Their were some Smithfield boys running round in the latter stages that impressed me along with some of our boys. We were missing some senior players such as our ruckman Watts/Eagels and some other boys but I enjoyed it,felt good to get out amongst again

As for the guy in the green shorts with number 18 i not sure who you are talkin about which annoys me because i try and remember where all our guys are playin and what number they are wearing. I think you are talkin about Kane (not sure of his last name) who played though the middle most of the night but he was wearing SFL shorts he played well and has been a good pick up for us. as for the key forward it could of been Leigh Forrest who wore 9 i think? and Zac Phillps who wore 12 maybe?

We left in the last quarter, got too hard to see anyrhing!!

Yeah the lights are over 15 years old now, the original globes are still in there, it's going to cost around $20K to replace all of the globes, ballisters, clean and hire a cherry-picker, they were superb when they were younger.

I was actually keen to see if they worked and if they could stay on for the whole game, answer: Yes :)

It was good to see us not reliant on Steve Taylor who only played about 10 minutes, he rolled his ankle and sat the rest of the game out for precautionary measures.
To the Haven's credit, they kept up the endeavour for the whole game, I think they scored the last two goals for the night, they were a pretty young group.

close games or did you guys win easy
also what was the first game like or did you play mixed

We won pretty comfortably, it was a 6 6th's match, we played B graders and those who haven't attended training on a regular basis first and then the regular trainers after that. Those that we wanted to have a look at as part of the team structure came on for the last two stanza's.
Going back a few weeks ago I thought there would be a severe lack of depth and a poor B grade, the problem I see now is that there is going to bit a huge gap in fitness level for those who haven't been on the track constantly.
Our game style in the A's will require everyone out there to be fit so the better B graders will have to do extra work to catch up.

As for us Buckets tried to do the same thing but as the night went on every was going on and off for most of the night. as for me I was 1 of the lucky ones playing 3 and half quarters. We still have a alot of work to do before we play Blackfriars in round one. Was hard with a few senior guys not playing and with OB away but all us younger guys looked good.

I have not heard about any body coming out that has played league footy. I would say this is a myth.

He found the shorts in the changerooms on Tuesday Night.

Someone told me Smithfields Lights were good, I would probably strongly disagree with that, i think someone earlier said they cost 20 G to fix up which is way too much of an expense for a Div 5 club, I know Haven couldn't afford that.

The game was played in a good spirit and was handy for loosening up the legs but not much else. Without our coach there wasn't much to be gained with team structure etc

Smithfield looked OK I assume they have a few more to come in and based them on last year I would have them in the 6th 7th 8th categroy in Div 4 so I guess they would be 3rd 4th 5th in Div 5.

Haven are still an extremely young team so we will see how we go and probably just try to keep improving.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet
