Firstly like to say Hope he's ok!
But yeah Sugar, been to a few of events he's been at & certainly need to learn to shut it sometimes. But no-one deserves those kind of injuries

I involve myself pretty heavily with the Tailem Bend footy club and I'd like to know which players you are refering to? Most people back the move.

Talking to the lad in the Karoonda pub in late November, he said he thought he may be too young for the gig but was gunna give it his best crack.

I know he is arrogant on the field, but off the field the lad has always been a gem. Not the kind of guy to look for trouble, I think this is really unfortunate.

I managed to speak to his mum and she said his knee was fine and ready to go back to full training and the jaw will take 2 weeks, 1 to set and 1 for precaution, so he isn't likely to miss much footy.

Smeltdaddy and Kepper, your comments are only based on his on field persona... out side of that he is one of the nicest people I've delt with at the club.

How many of these incidents happened ON THE FIELD Drama? Dont want to get into a slinging match here, because your right, generally he's a good bloke, but on the piss Dillon needs to learn that if you open your mouth, 1 day, someone will shut it.
And although a broken jaw etc from 3 blokes is gutless, looks as if that day has come

You're talking about only 2 incidents there mate.

In the one night, a fight with Andrew Coombe, led to other fights and resulted to him being esscorted in an ambulance... as I'm lead to believe Andrew wasn't happy with Dylan because he is captian, 6 years his junior. Just what sources inside the club tell me. And then it lead to fights.

And the other inncident was random, and apparently it was a gang in town, and the town females he were with were both assulted by the gang too.

The guy is like all the other 20 year old lads at our club (in fact, tamer than a lot) he just is in the spot light more than most.

I know alot of players from within the footclub out Tailem don't like the way Hogarth operates. I can understand because of the way he is on the footy field he has no respect for any of his opponents and Team mates what so ever and hopefully this incident might straighten the kid up abit. Its ashame cause he is actually a very good player..

Whom are you talking about Petrie?

I'm lead to believe Hogarth landed captancy after a vote.. Like I said, I do try and involve myself at the club and see a bit of what goes on, and I know Coombe has a problem, but I haven't heard of any other?

Like I said 2 incidents, 1 football related, 1 unrelated.... hardly a reflection on how good a job the lad is doing.

Hell fellas, Hogie is badly hurt and needing surgery tomorrow. All a bit harsh and from people who have no idea of the circumstances. The gang members that attacked him had had no contact with him whatsoever, and had no chance to find out what the bloke's like on the piss. Just attacked the chick he was with at random and then him and another chick. Don't put much stock in what a bitter bloke who was busting his balls to have Hogarth on his team a few months ago has to say. But money and bullshit couldn't buy a bloke who is loyal to his club. That kinda integrity and loyalty is very, very hard to find and very, very highly valued by his team and club. All the best Hogie, see ya on the footy oval real soon, mate.

Not at Tailem but I've played some footy with him and plenty against him. I've been in contact and he's been better but hopefully the surgery tomorrow goes well.

Hogs has a perferated ear and a fracture to the base of his skull. That's to go with the jaw and cheek. Surgery is tomorrow but not sure that he will be back within 2 weeks as previously posted. Those injuries especially the fractured skull could have him out indefinitely. Hoping that's not the case but he has taken a back ward step from Monday morning. He has more tubes in him than what is coming out, as his jaw is wired shut atm to prevent any further movement.

Hogarth is arrogant. But no more arrogant then any other 20 something footballers with the same amount of talent.
At times he should learn to shut his mouth and walk away, but as Drama stated this was an unprovoked attack, which has resulted in some severe injuries.
As for his position as captain. Coombe can not commit to the club for the entire season due to work commitments, and who else shows on the field leadership of captaincy size?

Some blokes on this forum should think a bit before getting behind the keyboard. Either that or you should have a decent look at your self. I see some have, however anyone else from Tailem should be well and truly taking it up to those who, for what ever reason have decided when a guy is in hospital he is fair game. Don't let them get away with posting this crap under these circumstances. Roll on footy season.

Nasty stuff there Jail, hope he is OK, let alone worry about footy. Sure its the last thing on his mind, although knowing Dillon, its probably the first thing ;)
