I guess for Port fans it shows that they are still a way of this year. Collingwood with there new recurits are going to be a contender, and Port as I put up here previously in my opinion will finish around 9 - 12th.
However some good points for port, by all reports Rob Gray was good and Pearce was good as well.

Don't think that loss is a true form guide. I'd say read more into the loss to Western Bulldogs last weekend in Melbourne.
Very, very unlucky to lose that to arguably the best side going around at the minute. And there was no doubt both sides were there to win whereas yesterdays game was nothing more than a practice session for both sides.

Alot of Port supporters & players were getting far to carried away with their NAB Cup form.
I don't want to be to hard on Port & their band of supporters but i'm hoping they can make the 8but its doubtful.

not doubtful - i have no doubt they wont make the 8. they might beat Freo, Melborne,Richmand and possibly the Crows but that wont be enough to avoid a bottom 4 finish
