I heard the rumour this morning. $350 a game and flying back from the mines to play. LF?????

Where did this come from? One of the better rumours I've seen on here. $350 a game would be value for a norm smith medalist. Hop on to you tube and check the video of him knocking Rhett Biglands out (with a fair bump).

Herald Sun reports Pickett signed with Deakin Uni at Warnanbool(or however you spell it) and has been training with the under 17s as well as the senior side. Hope hes not playing any interal trails with the youngsters or he could scare some kiddies away from footy for good.

Hope the Tigers arent paying this guy per goal or he will send the club broke. This guy is a true fullforward.
Well done to the Tigers for getting this calibre of player. I hear they have a POSSUM chasing players in Vic.

Reports are that Karl Lohde and Peter McFarlane from St Marys (AFL NT) may play a few games for Yank throughout the season if points permit

Haha . . . . did he write that himself or was it his sister?
Names like Melissa Johnson (Wimbledon), Blink 182 (Music Clip), Bruce McCauley (Cricket) and Helen D'Amico (Footy) these are the Real Hero's.

Training camp was good, always a good place to go and Victor is always accommodating!

Bays10 generally we do a Granite Island run followed by about 2 hours of skills/games etc followed by some lunch. Then head off for an orienteering course, this year we ran around Goolwa collecting information about the town. Barry loves it and for the lads that got there im sure there were some sore bodies getting around Sunday!

A big thanks to the Port Elliot SLSC for allowing us to use their facilities and provide a roof for us all to sleep under.

Saw the Victor lads doing the same thing Saturday night. Most if not all of the new faces had made the effort to get down there and they look to be a force this season!

Mt Compass got beaten fairly easily i hear? Were they missing some players?

From what I've been told BJ - Many missing players.
Compass looked to have a very young side out there - very young indeed.
And not a very 'tall' side either - I think there are 6 or 7 to come in.
Not sure why they weren't there - Cricket still perhaps?

Cove looked good - some nice bodies out there (and I mean that in a football sense...lol)
Looked like a well balanced side and a good mixture with quite a few talls.

I think the compass coach was trying people in a few different positions.
Hence a good chance to have a look at a few things - so probably even though cove won easily - positives can come out of it.

Was very windy but mild - start of the last quarter a big gust of wind swept across the oval and in true winter sport fashion the rain came down...lol.

The ball got lost in the school a few times - which is somewhat frustrating - maybe they need a net down that end like they have at Myponga?

O:)

talking a few victor lads down the street last night they seem to think all their good recruiting is going to get nowhere as now they will need to pay players to play B grade on a rotation system?? any truth in this? I am guessing its due to having to many points.

First I have heard of this, as far as I understand this would just be "street talk" the players that have come in all fit in the points.
