Having said that, thankfully it was explained well to all parties why it was done and was accepted and worked out really well for the club.

We had an instance where a bloke left at Christmas for Interstate and I was dropped for the semi because he became available despite not playing a game post-Christmas. That really did bite the big one. I played on at the club though, loyalty was more important to me but I made my stance clear. Wasn't happy and nor should I have been. Worst part was the skipper was over ruled by other parties at the club.

Serious question RB. We the legends replacing younger guys purely for finals and in what grade were they doing it? Were you one of the younger guys? I think it is less of an issue in A grade sides, although AF alluded to that isn't case with the ramblers, but the lower the standard the harder it is to say you must train to play etc.

Wasn't RB. It was in our last A Grade premiership in late 90s when Karl Gill and Scott Sharland were brought up from Bs for grand final only. We won the game but mainly because Crampy and Strangey ripped through (Warradale?). Depends on the commitment of the guys in the lower grade, if they've been doing the right things all year then no problem. If it's only based on form, then I may have a problem.

We were looking good, 3/110 at tea or so (Amateur Footy 47*). 17 overs for us next week now to make it a 58-over game a piece.

Don't everyone jump in at once....?
Very interesting that Coro/Sheidow game is poised almost exactly the same. Pull your finger out Sheidow.

If anyone cares MPCC 5/110 from memory. Pretty piss poor effort from some who know the season is over. Thought we would play for some pride tho. Plus I hate, nay, detest that South Road mob of ****!!!B's Warradale all out 89. 50overs (Positive batting)
C's MPCC 7/217 50 overs
