Great to have footy back.

Good game with pretty good skills in trying conditions. The tackling was a highlight. The wind was really swirly and then the rain came down. Both teams played well in patches with Westies never being headed (scores were level at one stage). Liked the look of new recruits Adam Hartlett, he did some very good things and also Nat Caruso but he needs to work on his disposal. Maybe the conditions and first game of SANFL were a little against him. Matthew Bode for Glenelg showed he has lost none of his ball getting ability. All in all a good game of footy and a great result :D

a typical trial game, both sides were tenacious & committed & i can't believe that west decided to flood for much of the game, i thought bode was our best & caruso was best for west

does anyone know how bad alex scott (wa) shoulder & craig pitt (glg) ankle are ?

The clash of heads in the last quarter was infront of me, any idea how (and who) the Bay player is?

Stuff all that. Any updates on the gourmet Westies bbq? Any new meats being over cooked in too much fat?

What BBQ it was the bar today. You only had Pies Pasties and Hot Dogs in the club

Mate, don't start that again. It's 2010, not 1977 :) .

I think in trials you practice everything you think you may use during the year.

Maybe someone should tell bayman that flooding is a tactic that all clubs employ. Time to get with the modern tactics of football bayman, and stop banging the same old worn out drum.

that's all very true boys but it has been proven that overall it doesn't work as the players can't sustain the effort for the majority of a game & yes all teams have done it & i'm embarrassed that glenelg (under brenton honor) was the first to do it in the sanfl which was against wwt at the adelaide oval
