Has the great Bulldog lovefest begun?

Postby Rik E Boy » Fri Mar 05, 2010 9:54 pm

For those of you living on Mars, last year the Bulldogs copped one of the rudest decisions I've ever seen to gift the Saints a spot in the Grand Final after the Saints were granted a goal for St Nick's shameless dive. Add to that a ridiculous deliberate out of bounds decision against Aker and the Bullies could have a fair case of feeling hard done by.

Could it be that this year not only are the Bulldogs premiership favourites but also favourites of the free kick differential 'premiership'? I have this horrible feeling that the great Dogs lovefest has begun as guilty maggots accross the land whistle up treats seeking a kind of retribution for the misdeeds of last September. What next, Barry Hall receiving free kicks?

I thought it was all downhill for the Power tonight when the umpires rewarded a massive dive from Ryan Griffen. No wonder Captain Dom was spewing. I reckon that everyone who follows our great sport might be cursing the umpires even more whenever your team plays the Western Bulldogs this season.

FEEL THE LOVE. The greate Bulldogs lovefest has begun.

REB

You got all that from 1 decision in a NAB cup game. Geez.

I thought the Bullies had a pretty good run all night IMO, otherwise I wouldn't have posted what is essentially a prediction for the season ahead.

Was it just me or did Barry Hall actually look like he wanted to be out there. With that sort of attitude who knows he might be able to stay on the park and kick a few goals while he's at it.

I for one hope they win the flag this year.

In my lifetime I've seen the hoodoo of premierships for Geelong and Sydney (Sth Melb) vanish, so if the Bullies and Melbourne get a flag before I cark it, then the longest running hoodoo's would be over. But then of course there is St Kilda.....

The way I see it, the Bullies have their best chance ever.

I do rate the Bulldogs this year and I can't blame their supporters for getting excited because it's been a long premiership drought.

I think Hall fills the major gap in last year's side and so, given injuries, I think they will be about the mark because they weren't that far off it last year.

ahhh just remember its only r3 of the chocolate cup that only the shit teams(except geelong last year) seem to do well in but i guess time will tell when 2 or 3 other defenders get under his skin and he clocks them as itll be seen if a swan can change his spots to be a dogggggg......

So why did the Bombers get knocked out in the first round then?

Am I the only one who believes in football Karma? ;) I reckon they'll do well in the free kick differential rankings this year.

i guess my point is that except geelong last year...not often do the teams that do well in the choc cup do well in the normal season..when did st kilda and bulldogs last win a flag.. and i suppose i cant remember the last 10 years of the pre cup who has won it but dont think its been brissie geelong (ex last year) swans or eagles have. think the bombers won it in 2000 and the real one...thts all i mean
