Yes Quichey every club i know offers cash or something along those lines for A grade BOG each week.

I havent heard wrong at all, i'm not saying what you're doing is wrong or the money is ill gotten or anything like that.

If you dont think questions like this warrant a response maybe you should tell your new recruits not to run around telling people how much they're getting each week
Pretty hard to ignore when people are bragging about it. Just wondering where its all coming from :?:

Footygod it is easy to get behind the computer and start rumours when no ones knows where u are from, at least put your home club on your profile so we all know where your from or at least name your sources.

ONe thing I will say is that they arent the only blokes getting paid, Greeny, Starry, Clint are all on $300 a week, Hally and Stuey are on $250 a week all new players to the club from TTG Under 18's are on $100 a week, the coach is on $10000, his 2 assistants are on $5000, all reserves players receive $50 a week, even though JOsh Davis cant play this year for us we are paying him $100 a week to keep him at the club for next year.

So this year we will be paying a total of $77600 for players to play at the Raiders, not too bad at all considering our total operating income is around $60000 a year, might have to start doing some deals like Ablett and Geelong are doing..........

Footygod sounds to me like those Grapes you are eating could be SOUR...................................

You really want me to name the players from your team that have big mouths? I know them personally so have a little more sense than to go giving out names on a footy forum, pity the coach is happy for me to put their names up though.

What sour grapes are you talking about? Did you not read my posts? It was a simple question about where all this money has come from? I never had a go at your club so i fail to see why you have to be so defensive about it- if you want to overpay players thats your choice :)

geez - would have thought that to be a big footy budget for a div1 or 2 club. and after nearly 200 games i'm still paying my 15 bucks a week to get a game!
just make sure they're declaring it to the ATO HR

In case you havent noticed this is not about me or any club beside Houghton, trying to change the subject will get you nowhere

No- I won’t put their names on a public forum, I don’t have the right to do that, nor do you. Although by the sounds of things you wouldn’t know who is getting paid anyway

So lets go back to square one, a simple question that you seem to be skipping around and trying to turn into an argument-
Where is this extra money coming from and why the sudden decision to overpay players in div6?? (Ill repeat myself again incase you failed to read it earlier- i'm not saying extra money is a bad thing, just wondering where it has all come from)

OK ok you dont wont people to know who you are, thats your choice Keyboard Warrior..................

At the end of the day I will worry about my club and IF we have extra money that is our business but I assure you we dont have extra money to spend on players (not that you will beleive me). At Houghton we are going about OUR business, not worrying about anyone else.....Maybe more people should worry about THEIR own backyards before looking into others.

Thanks for you concern and questions Footygod but really we arent interesting in talking to people we dont kow or arent prepared to be upfront and honest about who they are.

Looking forward to having a great season in Div 6.................

head raider has said some wise words..but..he also wouldnt be the first coach who didnt know exactly who was getting what..committees are notorious for saying one thing and doing the other..loose lips sink ships so they keep their lips shut..just saying..

to be fair to footygod i think its not a bad question..houghton as we can see have got a lot of recruits..and maybe some of these guys are speaking out of school..and blowing their own bags..but where there is smoke there can be fire..i say gl to HD either way..its not "amatuer" league so there is no shame at all in playing players..everyone does it..and the amount is all relative to the individual..if i could get ricciuto to play 18 games in div 6 i think paying him 150 a game would be chicken feed.."but hes in div 6..you cant pay that amount"..its all relative to the quality of person, their impact on the club and how desperate a club maybe as well.. :)

haha. Same here mate. I get paid negative $150 bucks a year.

I am absolutely staggered at the numbers posted. Not a single paid player at Mitchell Park. $77k just in football operation payments for a Div 6 club seems to be astronomical. 10k for coach! 5K for assisting! Wow.

Well done to the Houghton committee on raising the funds, truly a great effort.

Nothing too difficult about the quoting system Digby, the preview icon is just next to the submit icon just incase you need to check that you've done it correctly.

I can manage to work it out, although I wish it wasn't "nested". It's other people that seem to be struggling.

In reading Head Raiders and footygods mish mashed posts above I lost a lot of it translation.

hey, its my excuse and I am sticking to it. :P

So thats where all my money has gone. I was on $2500 per game last year now its dropped to only $1000!!! You sly dog head raider! In all seriousness footygod your right up there with one of the biggest tools that have dribbled crap on here. Clearly HDFC has kept a massive secret from everyone but now you have exposed it. All though we have a tin shed for a clubroom (mind you a tin shed with a hell of alot of charisma), all maintenance to the club is done by the team and our biggest revenue is players paying there fees! We do have thousands and thousands of dollars to fork out to anyone and everyone!! Our big secret is sheeps milk!!!! Thats right that sheep you hear in the distance when at our ground is making us a fortune. Thanks lambchop we owe ya ;) Now that ive exposed the secret you can expose yours. what club are you associated with???? If we know that we might be able to use our detective agency (also a new revenue for all our thousands) to figure out who opened there mouth about there payment contracts and reduse there money. That way my payments can slowly move back up to the $2500 mark again

Obviously every team goes into the season aiming to make the gf. and that is our aim. this year we want to be a competitive side. last time we were in div 6 we were getting our butts kicked every game and it wasnt much fun. the group of lads we have with us this year all have the same goals and are all focused on the same thing.
